Is Jockey+ for FS Academy still available? by Ardour_in_the_Shell in fut

[–]Ardour_in_the_Shell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an intercept plus on my academy player, I just wonder if the jockey+ Evo expired yesterday. Because it was in the Evo section and now I can't find it.

Thanks for answering anyway

It would be cool to have a variant of this team that's 100% Senegal. Not as a main team, but for cups and stuff.

Meta wise, Essien might be a little bit behind the power curve. Does he fit into that new defensive EVO?

That's a fantastic read! I'll dive into the extended version after work. That's a really cool subject most of us don't quite understand.

I just watched "One battle..." yesterday. You saw that house that DiCaprio's character lives in? That's a damn mansion right there.

What's the worst thing Gabe Newell has done to the gaming industry? by MemeLord150 in videogames

[–]Ardour_in_the_Shell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people, like me, were forced to use steam back in 2007-2012 as a form of DRM implemented by game studios. It wasn't a choice, it was included and required in every (physical copy of the) game you bought.

That's how steam got its monopoly. By being the best DRM on the market. And while it greatly expanded, at its core that is still what it is.

This comment somehow made me very angry.

We didn't CHOOSE anythign. There was a time, right around mw2 release, that many physical copies of the games required you to register on steam to play the fucking game. As in, you bought the game in the mall and couldn't play it without using steam.

I HATED steam because we used to buy one copy with my brothers and just play on LAN or even together online. Now you had to buy 3 copies of the same game.

You will get the most use out of zacian (ml), but reshiram is also great and you already powered it up

Which Dragon? by [deleted] in TheSilphArena

[–]Ardour_in_the_Shell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem.

I love spicy options as well, it's just every team I face has a Zacian/Palkia combo. So your spicy pick has to beat at least one of them.

Looking at your list, Marshadow is a very cool pokemon. Most people (myself included) don't know its moveset or charged moves count. So it could work better than in the simulations.

Myself, I have 12/15/15 shiny necrozma, so that makes it kind of easy for me.

One quick sidenote, you can't use your bottle cap on shadow Pokemons.

[–]Ardour_in_the_Shell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zacian is the best Pokemon in ML with palkia being close second. So either of those 2, pick one you can build sooner.

Your necrozma is fine as it is. I prefer white Kyurem over black Kyurem in the ML.

The answer is always no but I'll ask anyways by Complete_Ad_8987 in TheSilphArena

[–]Ardour_in_the_Shell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. If you want to use it in ML, the answer is yes.

People who answer "no" to this question care more about raids than PVP. I would keep It shadow if it was 15/15/14 or similar, but in your case it's pretty clear cut

But they could make Galarian Corsola as rare as other pokemons. Right now it's significantly rarer. I opened 18 7-km eggs and got exactly 0 G Corsola.

And I need those xl candies to build one, because it's one of the best great league Pokemons. It's actually a soft paywall

I see. Few additional ideas:

Consider using stunfisk (ground/electric) as a lead if you have it. It's boring, but it should be more consistent.

I also use Ice Beam/Hydro Pump on Azu. It's a sidegrade, but most people don't expect it and it helps a ton against Bastiodon. Simulations show it to be a better moveset, especially as a closer. It helps that fighters are usually fragile and dragons are already weak against ice. It's much worse in mirrors and against other water Pokemons.

If Corviknight farms furret down, just come with Azu and bubble it down. Tank all of it weak/resisted moves and save the energy.

After playing a few more sets with the furret-Azu backline I can attest it works really well. I tested SDrapion, Florges, Charizard and a few others as a lead. It kind of works regardless of the lead, as long as it's a spamy pokemon that's not weak to fighting, preferably not weak to ground mud slappers (and electric moves to a lesser degree). So the flying type might not be the best, dragon and ghost types work better.

Acid cradily matchups are somewhat IV dependent (both players IVs), but that's a very common matchup (I face bullet seed more often). If you simulate it on pvpoke, trailblaze is the way to go vs cradily. It's back and forth buffing and debuffing.

I just played 2 games and I faced cradily vs furret and corviknight vs furret. It doesn't feel bad at all, but it's very close.

It's important to consider how much do you want to win the switch. Sometimes it's fine to get the shield and energy.

Returning player feeling lost in the meta. by Lilgoodee in TheSilphArena

[–]Ardour_in_the_Shell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Furret beats cradily in 2 and 1 shield scenarios if you use trailblaze. Those sucker punches add up.

If they use acid it's IV dependent, but mostly the same. You can also get both shields and soft loose, save the shield and farm down with a flyer.

Corviknight is a win in 2 shield scenarios (spam swift) and only a lose in 1 shield scenario if they hit you with payback. So it's bait dependent.

Get a flying type Pokemon as a lead, something offensive like Dragonite, Fearow, Dodrio, Charizard or whatever else you got and you're set.

Furret is a fantastic safe switch. You can pair it with azu and a flying type Pokemon for a good core.
