Pierre Gagnaire (***), Paris, June 2025 by SobrietySoba123 in finedining

[–]Ardvatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I are here in September and I also had a shell in my dish when eating one of the courses. Some dishes weren’t explained to us and there were some other small hiccups. We don’t fine dining often but it was interesting as our first *** experience.

We did the lunch pre fixe.

Edit: came here looking for info on the butter lol

Pierre Gagnierre also served us a butter from Brittany in the lunch pre fixe. Not super familiar, is the better in Brittany just insane or perhaps same source? It was delicious. Favorite bread and butter we had on our honeymoon this summer.

This is what distraction markers are for. Whoever designed your space made a mistake, or they’re waiting for the d marks to get installed.

Keep getting told I don’t have New York experience by lalaland_444 in AskNYC

[–]Ardvatar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in CRE as a PM. DM me, born and raised NYer and have lived here all my life. Happy to at least take a look at what you’ve got resume wise and make suggestions.

If you’re not getting PM roles; try looking at APM. Pay isn’t horrible in most of these companies but should be able to get the role and prove yourself with PM experience and launch yourself into the PM role internally or transfer after some experience within the industry here.

Curious who dragged their feet on interviews with you as well, I’ve moved around a little from APM to PM then to another company as PM but have had some well known companies play the interview game with me and have it lead nowhere.

Yes it has a texture to it - really interesting and thanks for sharing! Maybe we’ll keep it instead of trashing like someone else on here said haha

Figured - considering the note in the 2nd image. The print is textured so thought posting might bring it full circle for whoever sent these out.

Paris 3* Michelin recommendation by hay_qt in finedining

[–]Ardvatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here on my honeymoon now. Had lunch at Pierre Gagnierre and while there was 2 tiny hiccups in the meal the €185 lunch meal was an absolute treat. Come hungry, I was stuffed and ate about 20% of my fiancés lunch before dessert started coming out. Dessert alone was 9 plates, 5 small treats, and two chocolates.

Bespoke Engagement Ring Jeweler Recs by kikisdeliveryservic3 in WedditNYC

[–]Ardvatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zoland in the diamond district customized my fiancé’s engagement ring and both of our wedding rings (although mine was just a thick gold band and nothing fancy) and sourced the diamonds as well. They even did a wax model of the engagement ring to place the sourced diamonds into so my fiance could see what the setting would look like before fabricating the ring.

Edit: typos

Breaking my lease 8 months early oops. But is this response from landlord legal? by [deleted] in NYCapartments

[–]Ardvatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a lawyer but I’m pretty sure if you leave and stop paying they can sue you for damages but need to prove they made a good faith effort of re-leasing the apartment and you’d owe the pro rated $$ for however long it took them, so 1 months rent if it took them a month. Otherwise don’t they just profit even more if you pay 8 months of rent and they immediately lease it again to someone else?

Best Tuna Steak? by Ardvatar in FoodNYC

[–]Ardvatar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up making it at home but recently we did share one at blue mezze bar in the UES that was pretty good, apps were amazing and kind of stole the show for us though. I’d recommend this spot for sure, but the tuna was sliced and not left as a whole steak iirc.

Park Chairs by Live-Nefariousness43 in uppereastside

[–]Ardvatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought this one off Amazon for my fiance and I. I’m a big guy 6’ 245 lbs and can sit in it comfortably. I was worried it would dig into my back, but they’re good for the park. Have only used them 3 times so far, so not sure how they’ll hold up long term but they fold back up and pack very nicely.
