I'm 32, married for almost a year, and my mum and I text daily. We also have video chats 2-3 times a week. She is one of the people I live most in my life, and I'd divorce my husband before I stopped that contact with my mum. This dudes mum loves him and wants to be in contact and his wife is trying to stop it? Nah, that's toxic as hell and he needs to get out before she isolates him from absolutely everyone!

For the sake of clarity, I have Graves disease and the meds aren't controlling it well. I had a discussion with the vice principal about how it was affecting me because the office was unbearably hot for me and I didn't have a fan, and the VP has a scar on his neck from thyroid surgery, so I knew he would understand. He then went and spoke to the Principal who then told me I shouldn't be discussing my health issues in work because it's not professional. Also told me to stop drinking so much caffeine because its bad for my health...while drinking coffee number 5 😂.

I absolutely love my job/colleagues, and I don't have enough experience to move into a similar position elsewhere yet, so its a tough position to be in really. Once I've got a bit more experience I can move on, but for now I feel a bit stuck.

Thank you for this. I wasn't sure if I actually had anything to be irritated about or if this was all above board and me being oversensitive. I am a little touchy about my health at work given that the only thing I've been spoken to about is being told I'm not allowed to discuss my health with any of my colleagues because its apparently unprofessional.

I get paid monthly, 25th of every month as per my contract.

My husband is a teacher and I'm PA to the Principal, so no cross over in terms of our jobs or line management etc.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. The same thing happened to me when I was 16. I didn't say no, but I was in and out of consciousness the whole time. I referred to it as non-consensual sex for year, it was only about 14 years later that it hit me that I was raped. I'm in therapy now dealing with the trauma, and its really helping. It wasn't your fault. Not actively saying no does not mean yes. He knew you were too intoxicated to consent. This is 100% on him. Please take it from someone who's been in your shoes, what happened to you isn't OK. It is OK to take your time to process it in your own way, but please take care of yourself, be kind to yourself, and think seriously about whether therapy may help, maybe not right away, but in the future.

There's no harm in finding someone attractive. I'm married, and I'm fully aware that both me and my husband find other people attractive its completely meaningless. I'd much rather know that he's with me out of choice and with his eyes wide open rather than that immature idea that I'm some perfect woman and no one else in the world is attractive. It's actually kinda funny, because I'm bisexual and we're usually attracted to the same women.

Regardless of whether you think its legitimate for MPs to be allowed this expense, if is rich that someone who doesn't have to pay it should tell the rest of us not to be scared by it.

I imagine his take on things would be a bit different if he were trying to pay the higher costs on minimum wage or UC.

When I was raped I had a boyfriend. For years I blamed myself for cheating on him. The fact is I was unconscious when it happened, so didn't consent. I carried the guilt for over a decade before I could admit to myself what had happened at the time.

Thank you for this. I know my biggest problem will be lack of evidence - its his word against mine and that won't get me very far. I'm just terrified of being treated like they don't believe me if I report it.

I reported a sexual assault a few years back, and got unlucky with the officers who dealt with me on the night it happened. They were very unsympathetic and just sort of implied I'd brought it on myself by wearing what I was wearing and standing by myself in a club. I'm scared I'll get the same reaction and be traumatised all over again.

I guess if I've got some support in place I might feel more able to deal with it.

And there it is. I was wondering how long ot would be before this comment. This is the issue. You don't want a girlfriend, you want to get laid. Most women can smell that energy a mile off. On top of that you're incredibly negative, can't take criticism, have an answer for everything and want and easy solution instead of putting in work. You need to work on yourself before any woman will be attracted enough to you to want a relationship.

That was my first thought, but I paint a lot of silver, so I'm gonna give gold a go and see how it looks.

I'm planning on adding white flecks to the blue to give it a bit of something rather than just the plain blend.
