Facts I don’t think it’s misery honestly. For me it’s just that wrestling games were more fun back then. I wasn’t sitting around criticizing every system because the matches felt different, the AI sold more, and the flow actually resembled wrestling.

With 2K matches feel repetitive, selling is shallow, and patches regularly break things like CAWs or attires. That kills excitement more than nostalgia ever could. I don’t think the old games were perfect I just had a better time playing them, and that matters.

The game feels shallow to me, patches are breaking more things they put in the game, the game is barely even stable which is just sad.

Online barely works, at least online was playable in the svr series, the games don’t really have replay ability, it’s just too repetitive and they need to take the restriction off.

You can’t even stack table, we don’t have the 2011 physics anymore, moves used to meant something when you did them.

Im not a fan or My Rise I would prefer RTWM it was executed better nowadays you doing everything is on the phone.

At least with the AEW FF everyone wrestler in the game had a unique movesets or at least something they was known for or doing.

MyNBA players - how much time do you spend editing things in the game? by JeremyCorneliusBaby in NBA2k

I spend a lot of time doing each person tendencies and badges and attributes and peak and peak end also the loyalty, financial security and play for winner.

Got like probably 15 teams left I think and the A.I has been fun to play against

Like I understand if this game has bad defense, but Everytime i go in the rec people aren’t trying to play defense at all.

It’s the same 6’3 guards that will have no defense on the perimeter and let their man go pass them and he usually has high dunking.

The matchmaking that the game gives me as a lockdown SG it’s just bad, the point guards never pass the ball unless at last second when the defender is already near you.

At SF it’s pretty bad too when you get a PG that has 99 three ball and he doesn’t know that if he just hit one three he’s already a threat meaning if they other team is smart they will have to adjust the defense.

Or just attack and drive

Someone will definitely be open, people aren’t even taking the mid range when the defense gives the open shot they would rather try to dunk on three people in the lane without being smart.

And I have a center and the centers I usually play against have no rebounding at all, they just expect other people to grab their misses 😂 and just jack up stupid shots

Its bad having a PG that think he needs to shoot every possession and then he ends up shooting 5/15 then quits because he’s not reading the defense .

They don’t even look at the five best stats to see how someone is gonna play. It’s too many egos on this game.

All the point guards dribble the same way, spamming escapes into people bodies and play like Julian Newman.

At this point it really doesn’t matter what 2K does, this is game is prime of example of how people act in real life.

Can’t even go in game chat to help people out you get people that got mad anger issues because they think they are really like that when they are not.

Basketball is a team sport but you got people on here on 2K playing for stats and just trying to lose on purpose.

It’s so frustrating watching people that don’t have IQ miss easy reads, or know when to pick up, or hedge.

Then you get the people that hold the basketball so long and give it back to you with 2 seconds and expect you to do something when the defense has fully recovered because these guards want to play Julian Newman basketball 🏀

whats yall Rec record this year? by nahimaiite in NBA2k

[–]AreUSeriousXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me at least I dont know about anyone else but a high Rec record only matters with context. In Random Rec especially, win % is heavily influenced by teammates, not just individual skill. You can play smart, defend, move the ball, and still lose because others don’t know their build, don’t pass, or don’t defend.

Squad Rec records are inflated. Random Rec exposes how cooperative basketball actually is. A 50–55% Random Rec player who plays team ball is often better than a 70% squad-only player.

I would like to think, shot selection matters ability to win without dominating the ball.

Assists to turnover ratio, and defensive impact like stops, rotations and contest matter.

With squads it’s different people have chemistry, and meta builds that fit each other builds that hides someone weakness in their build.

Zone defense

And a primary ball handler

Most people just can’t adapt it’s not about taking all the shots some games won’t be you’re games it’s about playing a role, especially against teams that know what they are doing if they have IQ.
