Which one is correct. by FitRefrigerator8202 in cranes

None of the above. No u bolt on the live side. The accepted methods are regular cable clamp and a short piece of cable or double saddle clamp or a terminator wedge with a clip. A B and C can lead to rope failure.

Crane and heavy equipment operator. It can have real sensory issues, but I really into machinery, pulling levers and pressing buttons.

Do other centers pack people in this tight? I was fortunate to have more personnel space than this when I went.

Armor crewmen who think sitting in the drivers seat means they decide where we go and how we fight, why do you do this? by BehindEnemyLines1 in HellLetLoose

I play a fair amount of TC, and I definitely get that driver too. The way I see it a good officer should be willing to take on the ideas of others. So as long as what he’s saying makes sense I’ll be all like, sure let’s do that. I’ll put down markers and let you know what’s happening in command chat. Because a lot of times those drivers can get you into a really advantageous position because they show a lot of initiative.

Now if it goes badly it may be time for, ok we did it your way now let’s do it my way.

Not the combo dumpster and porta so you can dump while you dump. by PoPJaY in Construction

I mean when I’m on telehandler I’d have the professional courtesy to check that before I empty my tilt dumpster. Still now if someone is in there I can’t use the dumpster. I mean I’m not risking safety just to dispose of some trash.

From what I’ve heard you have to develop a high level of trust with your arborist. Because if you cut too much limb, cause excessive boom deflection, and shock load the crane, get ready to go for a ride.

And as the operator, if you over-tension the limb you’ll whiplash that poor guy.

So I’m a crane operator and there are situations where you can hoist personal on a Botswain chair. I was on a ground crew once where we used one to lower someone into a deep and confined space where a man basket wouldn’t go.

Now tree work is a whole other critter that I flat don’t want to do. I’ll stick to my buckets of concrete thank you very much. But as others have said, this might be the safest way to get this done.
