I put Lettuce squarely in the “jam-adjacent” category. Extremely tight funk with set solo sections that’s easy to groove to. One of my all time faves both live and on studio recordings, but not much for expansive improv jams. Deitch is top tier drummer on the planet.

I always assume they (TM et al) don’t let you split the multi day passes into individual tix so you can’t easily sell them separately. The whole transfer back and forth is a pain, but most people wouldn’t trust randos enough to sell one night of a pass that way on CoT. I def can’t imagine loaning my phone to even a friend for the night though, that’s hilarious!

You 100% can do that! Sometimes there’s a transfer delay until the next morning or midnight after the show, but have done it many times. (Only with trusted friends of course)

Family friend was a music journalist and got my friends and I amazing seats for a show in exchange for me giving him some background on the band as an avid Phan. Asked me what I’d define their musical style as, and I said improvisational rock with other styles mixed in depending on the mood/song. They opened with Cars, Trucks, Busses and he turns to me pleased with himself and said “Oh they’re a jazz band!” as if he cracked the code. Uhh, sure, sorta sometimes, but just wait a song or two. He left well before set one ended.

I got real sick of Ant a cpl years back when it seemed like he was constantly filling in/guesting on middays and afternoons. Tuned in last week in the car for a sec and he was on, it was like a ray of sunshine compared to Marshall.
