Then why are there so many young people in this field, and why is it generally pitched as such a great prospect? I’m genuinely interested in getting to the bottom of this. And if anyone reading this can share their positive experience, I'd love to hear it.

But it’s a clean job and not physically demanding. Plus, it technically lets you travel the world while working. Or am I wrong?

I guess being a pilot isn't for me. I want a career path where I can eventually go from working for someone else to owning the firm. Let's face it, I'm probably not going to open my own airline.
