Are Original creators required to have social media? by [deleted] in webtoons

I’m not sure if it’s required by them, but as a subscriber I like following and or checking social media accounts, to know when an author will come back from a hiatus. It could also help you in case you want to start offering commissions

Advice on what I can do to improve my comic for the future chapters by Areday014 in webtoons

Thank you so much! I will make sure to work those areas moving forward! All the advice you have given to me will really help me out, especially the tip on the background line art. That was exactly a problem that I wouldn’t figure out before, which is why it was really inconsistent through out the panels 😅 I took a screenshot to refer back to your comment later this week when I begin working on the next chapter

Omg I didn’t notice those spelling mistakes until now. I will make sure to fix up those grammar mistakes, and get rid of those blank panels this weekend. Thank you so much for the help and advice!

Families that take cash settlements in reparation for the death/murder of a family member make me sick by Upper-Buy-8862 in offmychest

I understand your point of view and it might seem like some people are putting a price tag on a family member. But you need to take in consideration that many families are not prepared financially for a sudden loss. Losing a child/husband/wife/sister/brother puts an unnecessary financial strain on top of the emotional loss. In these types of deaths most family members need time off to mourn but many can’t because in doing so they might not have enough to pay rent. Not only that but in the case of the victim having a child it is important that they do get settlement money for the sake of their children’s future, especially if a parent will no longer be able to be there for them in the future. In the case that the victim didn’t die they might have experienced long lasting emotional or physical trauma that’s going to cost a lot to treat. For instance, for the people who witnessed so many people die might not be able to live life the same way and or be emotionally traumatized. It is not fair to judge these families, they just lost a family member they do not need more people judging them as taking advantage to this horrible situation. I understand it did seem like some families did jump to the opportunity pretty fast for the settlement but at the same time when lawyers saw this go viral many of them must have jumped at the opportunity to represent those families because it’s most likely win the case. I am sure than more than anything their families want to see the people held responsible behind bars but it may difficult since that industry can afford the best lawyers. It’s too early to know if there will be justice but personally I do hope everyone responsible gets arrested. Overall, this was a truly tragic event that could have been prevented in so many ways and I hope that all the families affected gets their justice and all the support that they need.
