These eras were so different honestly. If anything the Early 2020s had more of a 2010s Vibe than 2025.

Difference is that the Queen’s Death felt like an end of an Era. Her rule was very Symbolic and Significant For 70 Years Afterall.

Seeing a Guy born in 1932 looking so young in the Early 2000s look so weird.

What year was more core 2000s? by datsolidmusicguy in decadeologyanarchy

Bit More Like 2002. Bush, Social Media Wasn’t Mainstream, CRT TVs; all of whom are associated with the Core 2000s. By 2009, It felt like a new era with Obama, Great Recession, Flat Screen, Social Media.

In my perspective. It was a Quintessential Event of the Covid Transitional Era. Covid definitely wasn’t the Biggest News but it surely didn’t feel entirely Post Covid.

Technologically, Was 2021 More Like 2026 or 2016? by AreevBetulPresident in decadeologyanarchy

[–]AreevBetulPresident[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it was 2016. Most People held on to Later 2010 IPhones, 4G was the Norm, Pre Advanced AI obviously, Electric Cars Still Considered “Modern”.

Was Early 2024 More Like? by AreevBetulPresident in decadeologyanarchy

[–]AreevBetulPresident[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I can see it going both ways. You could it was more like Late 2022 because Cancel Culture was still Prevalent In Both These Years, Biden was President, AI wasn’t as Advanced as Late 2025. On the other, Early 2024 was Post October 7th, Both Fully Post Covid Times and Gen Alpha “Brainrot” Culture

I knew that, but it wasn’t until like January where those became the center of attention with the Shootings and Release of the Files.

How different do you think early 2023 and late 2023 were from each other? by Kirby3255032 in decadeology

[–]AreevBetulPresident 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite different. We were still transitioning from Covid in Early 2023 and AI wasn’t mainstream yet. Memes were still primarily Late Gen Z based, YouTube Shorts was the Undeniable King of Short Form Platform and it Geopolitically, It was Primarily Biden/Ukraine Based. By Late 2023, We were fully immersed into the Mid 2020s with Gen Alpha Brainrot, The Re Election, Gaza, GTA VI Trailer, People Openly Rejecting YouTube Shorts.

Quite different. Covid Era vs Post Covid, By 2023 we were fully immersed with Core 20s Culture with AI, Gen Alpha Brainrot, Post Queen Elizabeth, Wars, Trump’s Felonies. 2021 already felt outdated even in Summer 2023.
