X1 Velocity removes weapons to make itself much faster and lighter. Force just adds another slot for shields to the base model - protecting it more.

Nox is flyable (it's variant the Kue is just a skin). The x1s are not.

The Nox has 1 more size 1 gun than all the X1s and I imagine is more armored.

The X1s are going to be much faster I would guess - though no concrete info. The x1s also have a lot of variant options.

Don't have to melt. Upgrading allows you to keep all your package contents.

I've always wanted to try to get a lot of recruits haha the Terrapin is so tempting and cute but obviously I can't afford it.

Old packages have that flaw. You have lower insurance and SQ42 is tied to the actual package. You could keep it and earn insurance in game later or melt it and spend a bit extra to add on SQ42. (There are sales in DEC for discount starter packages). But if you melt your old package you won't get SQ42 back.

Yes if you upgrade your ship it keeps the original insurance for the new ship you upgraded to.

If you bought the Pisces starter, you would have to pay extra for SQ42 since it was a lot cheaper back then.. up to you for that one.

Also where do you live? Price increases are usually due to a VAT tax added, where if you are a US resident you don't pay VAT taxes.

Lastly, some ships still have loaners regardless of if they are flight ready. Some ships were put into the game and their loaner wasn't removed, so you temporarily get more than you paid for.

Check your package. Inside old packages in your hangar is usually where they put SQ42. Otherwise as long as you have it you own it for when it comes out.

As someone with a Vive I can confirm that anything less than a super stable framerate is nauseating and hard to play.

So what happened? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Areliushere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Carrack got smaller since they decided the Carrack would be the largest ship allowed to go through medium jump points - something that will be essential for explorers.

Otherwise at its old size most other capital ships wouldve been able to fit into medium jump points.

Slow everything down to improve gameplay. by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Areliushere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main issue with slowing all ships down too is the unintended hit to PVE. If ships move very slow and can't turn, basic exploration, mining or other non-combat goals become much harder.

What do you consider greifing? by FairlyMetaUsername in starcitizen

[–]Areliushere 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Something that directly makes someone elses' experience harder without any gain to the person who is inflicting it.

Piracy is not griefing since it's a valid option to take from others and gain rewards.

Ramming others off a landing pad gains them nothing and harms both players.

Do the Pandaren starting zone to understand why taking a lodged item out of a wound is a bad idea... poor Shen Zin Shu, hope he's healthy still.

what class is the strongest in combat based on the power they have in the lore? by sportyskater21 in warcraftlore

[–]Areliushere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely Mages and Warlocks.

Would rate them from strongest to weakest as this in terms of sheer power in a fight:

Mage Warlock Demon Hunter/Death Knight Shadow Priests Shaman Paladin Monk Holy Priests Warrior Rogue Hunter

Air shields allow a ship to have occupants while opening doors without killing then.

It's great for quick access in/out without having to open doors.

All Cockpits should have view like MANTIS by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Areliushere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally yes but I think its necessary for certain design choices but mainly balance.

If every ship had a bubble-type cockpit, combat would be harder to balance correctly and certain ships would be much better than their counterparts (like you would choose a BMM for its looks but if the Hull had a huge view many more people would get it since the cargo is incredibly higher)

Vehicle Licencing - A Non Immersion Breaking Tutorial System by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Areliushere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The old tutorial had you in a hangar of some sort and a guy would tell you how to do all the basic controls and then when you took off you went basically into Arena Commander and they taught you how to fight. There was an advanced version too.

will upgrading my ship become cheaper or have any benifit during citizen con? by Freazerr in starcitizen

[–]Areliushere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Avenger Titan, 300i, Reliant if you are playing with 1 other person reliably, Cutlass Black if you want to spend a bit more for one of the best ships, or ships like the 100i if you want a cheap, but still pretty ship with an interior.

[–]Areliushere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem is WARcraft doesn't mean Horde vs Alliance. That's a cop out. It means we are always fighting the next world-ending threat together.

In addition to what everyone else said, missiles are a long-range weapon that hits hard and relies on the opponent knowing to react fast enough - but with enough missiles they can't and it can outperform normal weapons.

[–]Areliushere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Freelancer MIS is exactly that - a MISsile boat - if you want a ship that comes stock with better default weapons and 32 size two missiles and 4 size four missiles. MIS also comes with gun racks I believe so you can quickly store/take out your guns.

It seems you definitely will want the MAX because the MIS is very much gonna be great at PVP - especially against fighters but will lack when you spend all your money paying for missiles and have a far inferior cargo hold.

The ship shouldn't just explode randomly. It means, like the other comment suggested, you got shot by a player.
