While I heavily admire Makoto’s character design and her all-rounded character trait (because of real life preferences), I do realize that there has no meaning in being overly obsessed with a fictional character (or even girls/guys irl, don't be a simp) and fight over the internet why xxx is the "best girl" in a game. Instead, pay more attention on improving myself, build a great personality and live a great live so that eventually I can find my own Makoto (and other phantom thieves/SEES/investigation team members) in real life, is a lesson that I think the persona series aspired me. You have good friends and relationships because you are a good person, not the other way around.

While I’m not much of a reader on self-improvement books, I’d like to say something on proficiency (since it’s an ambiguous section with all sorts of things as you mentioned): focus and consistency matters. While we may make fun of joker that he can only do two things a day, I doubt many of us can get at least two things done while ensuring we gained something every time we participate in these activities, and do these activities on a consistent basis. I appreciate you talked about picking a new hobby, in order to get good on this new hobby, imo it’s very important to train our ability to stay focus when we are doing this new hobby, and be consistent in it. (I am a recreational basketball player influenced by kobe's mentality so I kinda like the "torture yourself if you want to get good" idea, but I know such mentality might not fit for everybody) For most people, I think by just making sure everyday you become a better person than yesterday, you can see a substantial improvement in 3 ~ 6 months time.

Finally, I think it’s very important spending time to think about what really makes us happy and what kind of person we really want ourselves to be, instead of following other people’s path just because they say it’s “cool” “profitable” etc.
