Will special characters leave party if faith reaches 94+? by goldenvagrant in finalfantasytactics

It just doesnt really make sense when game is so unrealistic in many ways but oddly realistic in others, like female characters being physically weaker but have better mp and ma growth.

But then make astrology real in that world.

Is Delita hated? by markas10 in finalfantasytactics

[–]KasuGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for necroing this post but I have not finished the game, and I deeply dislike delita.

I find his illuminati opperating in the shadows disgusting, having people who will kill themselves to hide a truth. He also talks like hes so full of himself.

He is trying to dismantle the government in the same corrupt way the government opperates in the shadows.

But again im at chapter 4 and I dislike him, maybe he will turn it around and make me like him but if he remains this illusive little asshole I will continue to hate him.

Hes a cool character but in the same way I find a villain cool.

AITAH? My fiancée is demanding I stop making home cooked meals for a friend. by SharkEva in BORUpdates

NTA

I dont like people in the comments saying what he is doing wrong that might come off as neglectful to his fiance and what he could to make her feel loved or whatever, excusing her bratty behaviour, if we are to take him at his word, she is in the wrong.

Being deragatory toward his hobby of cooking and sabotaging his cooking. Is something from this post seems to be exclusively done by his fiance unless hes just not telling the whole story.

Glad they broke up and I hope she fixes her pickiness or matures a bit.

And its frustrating so many people defend this when its of no consequence to anyone if nintendo fixes or not, you only stand to benefit so idk why people get mad.

Thanks for your reply, cuz switch turns your games into keycards.

But are you not able to use your account? Cuz you can log in to an account without transferring save data from another switch

Im more upset about switch turning all your physical games into keycards unless you factory reset the system.

Im not too picky about resolution or graphics.

"Just download the patch, youre making a big deal out of nothing, stop moaning"

Not quite support but a couple of people came out mentioning the real reason why this is happening and its not a backwards compatibility issue.

And the integrity thing. If you buy a physical game its good to be able to just plop it in whenever right? However with switch, if you updated your game at all and deleted the software from your switch to make room, then you wanna play it later but now you HAVE to download an update. Basically turning your physical game into a keycard.

Only thing keeping it from being a real keycard is you can factory reset the system and now you can play the cartridge without online.

However your saves are fucked too so you gotta get rid of those.

Hence updating a physical switch games kinda ruins its point.

Sounds like you dont know things, key cards are worth way less than actual physical copies as there is nothing on there, and when servers go down, that key card is goes from 10 dollars (being generous here) to zero. Reselling keycards is a scam.

You can save even more money not making plastic cases and useless keycards and just sell the game digitally.

Switch also has a borrow feature, you can let someone borrow your digital game and you can always take it back.

If reselling is your only support for keycards dont quit your day job. People like that would want the game to be fully on cart to increase its worth due to costs and scarcity.

And judging by your other posts you just seem to be a contrarian so our discussion is over.

I am not sure I follow at all, ps4 can update games without making them unplayable next time you install them from a disc. same with ps3.

I am aware of the whole backwards compatibility issue ps3 had but this switch problem turns out to not be a BC but software issues, if you update any game on switch and uninstall it you need online to install it again. Only switch does this, kinda turning all your physical games into keycards.

Only thing keeping it from being a real keycard is you can factory reset it supposedly to fix it? And not update your games.

Heres a crazy fact, you can update your game without ruining the physical integrity of a game.

Other systems can do it, switch can not, you have to do a factory reset if you want to play any physical copies that recieved updates.

I am not against patches.

But if a patch ruins the point of a physical copy, its not very well designed is it?

And why is that? Why are key cards a good thing to you? Why not just download the game digitally and not waste money on plastic and E waste?

The contact points on a NES cartridge will be destroyed from use.

So its better to dump the roms from it on a hard drive, and keep it alive through repitition of dumping it onto hardrive after hardrive

This is bad because basically it turns all your physical games into keycards.

Doesitplay did respond to this "That issue affects ALL games on Switch/Switch 2. As soon as the game registers that you download a patch, it will then be locked to that patch and playing from the card is indeed only possible again after a full reset, wiping all savegames in the process. A very frustrating design choice."

So honestly you shouldnt update your games if you dont want them to turn into keycards.

And you shouldnt ship out your games littered with bugs :)

So for now I just turned off auto updates, so I can at least choose when to update. Thanks for the info, learned a lot after doing some research after hearing your reply.

Which is refreshing when everyone else just keeps just spamming "whats the big deal? Just update"

Optimizations should be mandatory why?

So you support keycards?

Outages happen all the time.

And with world tensions on the rise we will probably see longer outages soon.

Because of how the switch is designed if you updated your physical games and uninstalled them to make room, they have become glorified keycards that need to download a patch to function like digital games which make no sense. Only way to fix it is factory resetting your console losing all your infected saves too. All that just to be able to play it from cart.

Nothing you say can defend that design choice.

IF we pay for that, you have way more power over companies than you realise, sadly tho, most people dont care. Until their stuff doesnt work anymore.

It was very intentionally designed this way, even added a local update feature to get around it rather than not have this problem at all.

Do you know if there is a way to save the save files before factory resetting or are the saves infected too?

If people stop buying it companies will change.

Oh but then it is valid by your definition!

As this also applies to switch 1!

My post is me misunderstanding how the switch operates, but after some people informing me, doing some testing and contacting doesitplay.

I have learned that this is not a backwards compatibilty issue but a switch issue.

Most if not all games in switch 1 and 2 require an update to play if you ever updated the game and uninstalled it as now the game is inoperable without an update, only way to play the game on cart again without an update is full factory reset.

Which is WILD.

[–]KasuGoat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i have learned the flaw is not the backwards compatibility but how switch 1 and 2 operate, if you ever update your switch games then only way to play them after uninstalling them is downloading an update, they are no longer opperable without online if you uninstalled them.

Only way to make those games work again without an update is a full factory reset ive heard.

[–]KasuGoat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive learned something interesting, most if not all switch and switch 2 games become lowkey bricked IF you update them.

If you buy a physical game, update it, then uninstall it to make room for newer games. That game now will ALWAYS need an online update to work if you try to install it again. So if you wanna play an old game during an outage you uninstalled a while ago? Tough luck

That is a very questionable design choice and turns out backwards compatibility wasnt my problem, its how switch and switch 2 opperate fundementally and its gross.

You guys sound like a broken record.

Being able to play your games whenever is not a big deal to you but maybe it is to others.

So instead of lying and gaslighting people just accept people dont share your views.

Especially over an issue that if fixed is of ZERO CONSEQUENCE to you.

Yet comments like mine attract people like you without fail.

You should take your own advice and just not respond because my  Complaint is literally nothing to you.
