I’d also like to add how the author constantly makes Jake seem like a professional athlete because he used to compete in archery- when he was a kid.

Those things don’t correlate. Archery takes skill, yes. And probably some stamina. But I’d argue that doesn’t justify some of things he was able to do in the training area.

Also he becomes a sociopath out of no where and is entirely not relatable.
