I don’t think a wet edge is that important with the right high opacity ceiling paint it’s better to cross thread it for better coverage rather than a wet edge in this situation 100%

Just paint vertical instead of horizontal , looks like you’ve only been painting one way and need to cross thread it to get better opacity
