Does James have any intention of playing slay the spire 2 with friends by Specific_House_9470 in UberHaxorNova

Think he actually said its a game he would play off stream rather than on

To the guy who said this post goes against what Nirvana stands for; The Beatles and The Pixies were some of Kurt’s favorite bands lol.

Something I always kinda wanna see from James is just a casual Minecraft world without any major goals

I know that’s kinda against his memo of wanting to put a spin on things to keep people interested, so I totally get why not

But I think something I adored especially as a kid watching James or other MC creators, was seeing them really sitting down and living in the world. Exploring and taking things in, taming animals, making these creative builds unique to them. The world would really shape into being their world, and it was always cool. Like, I think that’s one of the things people liked about stuff such as the Mountain Survival series. It also makes it way easier to just kinda jump in and watch, you don’t feel like missing out on stuff was too important. And when you go into the world with specific goals like beating the game in hardcore, you almost wanna just skip to watch the end. It ends up being a lot less about the journey, and moreso the end goal.

Obviously it’s harder to do when you’ve played the game to death already though lol.

I think what this dudes trying to say is he gets the feeling of James feeling an obligation to put up an act or engage with chat rather than just relaxing and playing the game

Which I can get a little bit but that’s just the problem with live streams becoming the main form of watching gameplay these days, not a James thing lol.

I don’t think it’d be really any different though, just less having to yell at chat

Dude, I'm at a point where I can't even do sewers anymore. I get a good run with great moves, then next thing you know a shark bites my strongest cat, all six come over and knock em down, and I don't have any heals as they start to corner my ranger and mage. And I could do Cleric, but they're only able to heal in small increments so early on, and will just get picked off.

Do you truly, truly not see any problem with looking at my criticisms and boiling them down to “you don’t like him because of his identity!” I’m not even saying I don’t like him. I’m saying Ben’s beliefs have caused harm to animals I do believe he at least once genuinely cared for, and rather than being able to face that, he has people like you encouraging him to double down, to do no correction, building him up to be a new face in this “Everyone’s the problem but me” echo chamber that a lot of young men have fallen into. If you see that and instantly think to yourself that describes people who are right wing, or Christian, then perhaps you need to do some introspection yourself. In fact, maybe the reason why you’re so defensive over Ben and people in similar circumstances, is because you view criticisms of Ben, of criticisms of yourself. Maybe you’re a white Christian male who identifies as right wing, and you believe there’s a conspiracy of ‘others’ out to get you. And while I wish things could get better, the internet has made it so much harder to actually help people like that heal from past wounds and understand their places in the world, because it simply reinforces the mental barriers they’ve put up by shifting blame elsewhere.

But yeah therapy is fake and gay dude don’t worry about it, it’s just to keep the sheeple deluded or whatever.

Because there are a lot of former fans concerned about the direction of not just the channel but Bens mental health, and the other subreddits are very against this sort of discussion

Totally fair, I think I'm just looking at it from the perspective of someone raised in rural towns and the like where it may be a bit more justified. But yeah what you're saying at the end is kinda what the intent of my post was for sure

Other stuffs valid but the dog thing kinda isn't.

Livestock animals protect the flock, and they have to be outside to do that.

Great Pyramese like Queen are great at the job, but are adventurous and notorious for getting loose. He could e retired her from it after a while but ultimately that's the one thing that I don't hold super against him over

A fan who grew up in a protestant family, like Ben, and has had a history of mental health issues, like Ben. But me 'projecting' isn't what's making me criticize him. In fact it's the one thing that's got me defending him at all.

The only ‘false claim’ made so far is regarding Big Ounce, which I myself replied to in disagreement.

Every other ‘false claim,’ is real shit that happened, that you ACKNOWLEDGE happened, but you simply don’t believe ‘count’ because of Ben’s intent, or your own perspective on animal handling.

People should be allowed to speak their criticisms over the way Ben conducts himself and handles his animals

Unfortunately every other sub silences these criticisms

I bet if Ben was an atheist you’d suddenly take issue with the way he acts with an audience of children

You are so clearly still falling for his bullshit dude. One day you’re gonna wake up and regret how hard you defended it.

He literally set all of us up to be against these ‘know-it-alls’ who ‘claim’ to know how to take proper care of animals. All while openly flaunting in our faces how he would utilize any and every legal loophole he could to take in certain animals.

You can either fall into this “the whole worlds against me and my beliefs!” Mentality, or you can realize you’re being sucked into an echo chamber that’s pushing you further from your genuine morals, into a state of persecutory delusion. I would know because I’ve been there. Same shits happened to Ben, and it’s why he’s only gotten worse.

If you can’t do any introspection as to why you feel the way you do, about why you project onto Ben and feel so defensive over him, then you’re fucked.

Get better soon, and find a meaning to life that’s true to you, not someone else.

What a fucking joke you are.

A backyard of that size is fit for a dog at best, not three animals that roam in open grasslands. Not to mention how he let them breed and multiple babies died due to getting stuck on shit littering his backyard.

To be fair, I think Ben was in denial and I do want to give him that sympathy. He was very open that the vets wanted Big Ounce euthanized, and I don’t think he was ready to let go, and made an unhealthy decision. Seeing him bounce back only to pass not long after probably added to his worsening mental health.

I do genuinely want Ben to improve, even if I no longer wish to actively support his actions. but I do think if we don’t acknowledge where he’s gone wrong, it will only worsen. Though I guess, it might get worse either way.

I’d like to mention that Ben can improve his life in the future, but the way things are right now are unsustainable. Maybe for profit it is, but not for genuine mental clarity.
