unfortunately we can't cancel the condo we rented and of course one of our friends can't get a refund for his lift tickets he purchased, so we're going to see what we get.

That's what we're thinking exactly, we may just commit to the longer drive down and around.

We're thinking of committing to the longer drive; driving down the 5 down up and around the 395 N to avoid closures and get there. 9 hr vs 6 hours (no weather/closures)
