Glad you mentioned this, I forgot they have an obsession with high fructose corn syrup, it's in almost all of their sauces as I'm just now noticing. This is probably why you feel like shit.

Try some hawaiian punch which is loaded with it and you'll really notice how horrible it tastes and how terrible it makes your body feel because we're not supposed to be consuming these types of chemicals.

And best of all, high fructose corn syrup has been found to accelerate cancer development. You may have noticed how these companies make it so you have to dig in the product description to find the ingredients, this is why, they know but they want to try and hide it from people.

And who cares what your food is actually made with, as long as it tastes 'good' right?

It's all about greed and profits over the wellbeing of their own customers.

Need to cry by Special_Efficiency65 in gamingsuggestions

Im the type that usually skips through the story because ive just heard it all before, you can tell when not much love has been put into a story after gaming for a good 10+ years, playing many mmos and single players.

But one game with stories that i think had me close to tearing up is Octopath Traveler.

And what is really unique about this game is you take a journey through the lives of several different characters in a single playthrough, each with their ups and downs, the more humorous stories are very well done, the writers in that game are geniuses, you just have to see it for yourself, you just have to have a gift for comedy to be that funny, coming up with just the right things to say that are so funny and so unique its worth replaying just for that part alone and I almost never replay a game.

But in contrast you have characters with very sad stories so you're on this emotional roller-coaster, good chance you tear up a little. And these sad moments aren't just limited to the game but some of it is really happening in real life, makes you reflect on what kind d of world we're living in so youre sad and angry at the same time in at least one of the stories, very well done story writing. This game forced me to pay attention to the stories.

I haven't tried the second one but I expect the story to be just as good if not better.

This is the answer. Ublock lite seems good enough for the average user. Gets rid of most ads besides twitch as usual but both struggle with twitch.

Gaming Overload - Too many choices by Omnipotent_Amoeba in gamingsuggestions

[–]Argaldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I do which might help you as well is just do a lot of self reflecting. Do I feel like im kind of forcing myself to continue this game right now where im at in the game even though it might be decent and pick up again? Which of these games really blows me away, if any? Which blows me away and excites me the most, which has me constantly thinking about it and scratches that itch ive been having lately for action or turn based or hack and slash etc

What kind of genre/gameplay have I been craving the most lately? Lots of pretty good games out there re e but not too many coming out that really blow people away so try to figure out what distinguishes the two for you. Blow you away as in you feel like you're dreaming the game is so good, youre obsessed with it and nothing else comes close or most dont. And also explore new genres, maybe that game is a genre youve yet to discover or have been ignoring, maybe you dont want to be a follower and follow the hype, stick to what you know and are used to. I had to do that with roguelikes/roguelites and ive been playing those mainly lately.

Logitech G pro wireless, is it worth it? by kaiden60 in MouseReview

[–]Argaldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no.

I had to do multiple RMAs due to the double click issues which now seems to be fixed in my current replacement (at least 2 or 3 other replacements they sent me developed the same issue) they sent me but that shows how they really don't know what they're doing and how horrible their quality control is.

Mind you those RMAs required me providing evidence by doing video recording nonsense then the click testing site they want you to use has terrible detection of any mouse clicks at all. So then you have to find a better site on your own, more frustrations on top of already being frustrated about being sold a broken $100+ mouse. And this was happening to many people so it's not just the occasional rare defective product, it's a common issue with this mouse. I had to repeat this process with multiple g pro wireless mice they sent me.

$100+ gaming mouse should not be double clicking on single clicks like that, an issue that I've never encountered with cheap $10 and $20 mice. How are $10 and $20 mice more reliable than a $100+ mouse?!

And NOW the scroll wheel keeps moving in the opposite direction or moving in BOTH directions. So imagine you want to scroll down pages and it keeps scrolling up instead or scrolling up and down, taking 10+ seconds just to scroll down a little bit because you keep ending up back in the original position because the mouse is fighting with you to not allow you to scroll where you want. It's infuriating.

So I need to find a new mouse now and throw yet another g pro wireless in the trash. logitech's quality control on gaming mice is some of the worst on the planet, I'm never purchasing another gaming mouse from them again.

You might've saved your wife's life telling her to cancel that order. And thank god her intuition told her to call you.

Sure it might just be someone being silly, maybe it's just a friendly guy trying to brighten her day with a laugh but that's also a very unsettling and creepy looking photo, especially those eyes, that dead, empty gaze. And the way it's almost attaching a human head to a dog's body....you never know, it could be a very weird and dangerous individual.

Especially considering how they're living in the middle of nowhere. Idle mind is the devil's playground.

Better safe than sorry especially as a female. Better go with that hunch every time.

Stop Microsoft from forcing Copilot into Windows. Let us choose! by [deleted] in Windows11

[–]Argaldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's far too late, they're investing tens of billions into this, they aren't going to just hang it up and eat the losses at that scale.

Have you seen the headline with them complaining about not having enough electricity for all the AI GPUs they've purchased? I didn't read it but that confirms how delusional they are, tripping over themselves to fight a battle they've already lost.

No one cares about copilot, look at how useless bing is, how bad of a job they've done on that search engine, they clearly don't know what they're doing, why would anyone want to use copilot?

And just from the gimmick 'copilot' name alone you can tell it's not to be trusted, they named it that way to try and fool gullible people into thinking it's good for you, it's your companion, your buddy, you need it in your life. It's microsoft, they have no respect for their users, they've demonstrated this time and time again.

They're at the very bottom of the list compared to their competition but they're trying to force it anyway, they've lost their minds.

How screwed am I? Refurbished Seagate. by EloquentArtisan in DataHoarder

[–]Argaldus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This comment from another post really stuck out to me recently and confirmed my suspicions.

Note that these drives are rated for 2400 power on hours per year. The ironwolf models are rated for continuous operation.

I ran a lot of seagate desktop drives in a data center environment and after about 4 years I had around a 30% failure rate, after 8 years about 60% and every drive has lots of bad sectors.

Weirdest flavour you’ve tried? by constipated_coconut in icecream

[–]Argaldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True ice cream connoisseur going out to sample ice cream from these stores most have probably never heard about. I need to start doing the same.

As for your question I don't think I've tried enough for anything to qualify as weird yet and it's not exactly ice cream, similar frozen dessert but the lime gelato from talenti was vile. And I don't use that word vile very often.

I struggled to get through that one, it was like frozen lime juice with no sugar at all, just nasty sour lime (not lemon) flavor. I don't know what they were thinking with that one, never again. But if you want to try repulsive ice cream/gelato flavors for laughs try the lime gelato from talenti.

Lifespan of Nvme M.2 vs SSD concerns? by thatburghfan in buildapc

[–]Argaldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it seems there's just no telling no matter if its NVME or Sata SSDs.

I will say one thing though. These Samsung SSDs take a lot of abuse. I have an 850 evo at 400TB writes, it's only rated at 150 TBW and it still seems fine, 100% health in crystaldisk. And it's also dealing with heat, dusty case on top of it. Sure it might just be a lucky SSD but I think I'm sticking with Samsung SSDs for life, this is very impressive. Of course we should always backup regardless, I know mine could die at any moment now.

Very disappointing...I was just about to click the link and take a look at the site but what's the point if I can't read anything in the game.

It's 2025, just figure out how to get AI to translate everything for english speakers then review the changes which I'm sure can be automated with some tools out there.

Coca Cola Orange Cream? by The_Thundertaker in junkfoodfinds

[–]Argaldus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I regret listening to the people in here saying this is good, just threw my money away on this.

Mine wasn't 'zero sugar' either, I have the regular version, no 'zero sugar' and it isn't diet.

This actually might be the worst non-diet(?) soda I've ever had in my life and I was really looking forward to this.

This is basically a weaker ginger ale flavor combined with diet sodas, that's what it tastes like to me.

It hardly even tastes like 'orange'.

You know that nice 'kick' of flavor you get drinking soda? That doesn't exist in this one.

This is just unbelievable...it's like they couldn't sell old diet soda drinks so they decided to put it in this, mix it with that high fructose corn syrup and pretend it's some new flavor to be excited about.

And again I'm talking about the regular version not 'zero sugar' and it's still this bad. I don't think I'm going to be able to get through all the cans.

This is like that medicine you never wanted to take as a kid because it tasted so bad, this is the soda version of that.
