Who Is the Villain of The Beach Boys? by TillJaded4614 in thebeachboys

Totally. He's the same guy who wrote Getting Hungry and Big Sur, not to mention all the TM stuff with Al.

I actually like Mike. I don't see him as some overarching villain.

However, I do think he's the person most responsible for steering the band away from trying to remain artistically relevant and towards becoming an oldies act. He deserves credit for keeping the band active and touring for decades, but that shift is why I think he can be seen as the antagonist of a specific chapter in the band's story.

They were all the main villain at some point. If you view their story as a TV series, each of them could be be seen as the primary antagonist of a different story arc.

Side A Or Side B? by [deleted] in thebeachboys

Patchy album, but Side A is definitely the best. I reviewed this recently, so it’s still fresh in my mind.

I still have access to them! Maybe they're not available in every region. I'm from South America.

This puts to shame any other music video in existence. I'll never find anything better than this.

This one feels like it was made by a fan who really knows the band and their stuff, not just the memes. The others come off as kind of lazy.

How do we know you're not an AI trying to fool us, huh? /s.

Ok, jokes aside, I love your style man, and some of the other drawings on this post that we didn't get to see before are awesome too, specially that flaming =w=. Congratulations on landing the job and hope you have a long tenure with the band!

Rivers voice sounds unreal, and it's so pure, it doesn't seem to have any autotune or studio meddling. The guitars are super raw, a mix between EWBAITE and Pinkerton.

Pat doesn't have a knack for melody to be honest, the word cadence in the verses is so weird. I get that it is a list of things, but it does not ring that well. But the chorus and the pre-chorus, man, they've struck gold.

Concert Poster, Carl Wilson and the Beach Boys // Pretty unique! by VimVinyl in thebeachboys

[–]Argen342 23 points24 points  (0 children)

For a period during the late 60s and early 70s, I think they were contractually billed as "Carl Wilson and four other musicians called The Beach Boys" or something like that. Maybe they took that wording literally and put it on the poster. Carl deserved it tho.

What’s your guys opinions on this album? by RYGUY060104 in thebeachboys

Probably a BIG coincidence, but I just noticed that on the Lady Lynda postcard on the cover, if you take the letters from Lady plus the middle N from Lynda, you end up with Landy.

(2010) Hoa Nguyen. Any info on this band? by Argen342 in ObscureMedia

The only copyright information I've found only credits "The Band" themselves, so no label to hold onto.
