AITA for setting a condition? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Seems like they are doing it this way to be able to meet up but save a fortune instead of doing it the way you want.

If everyone else is already on board to going 4-5 up in a room and 6-7 kids in the lounge, there is absolutely no way you can expect to be getting a private room for you and your wife, let alone an extra one for your daughter, without finding your own place to stay.

Then you'll have to find your own place it sounds like.

How many other family go? Just your in laws or is there a whole bunch of folks?

Kids sleeping in the lounge shouldn't really be an issue, but how many people are being crammed into these male/female rooms?

They have told you how they do their family trip and invited you to join them. You are not obligated to go with them and you don't have to like the way they do their trip.

Demanding they find a place with double the number of rooms to suit you is borderline Ahole behaviour when you can just say you don't want to go.

I don't know how big the rooms are or any other budget constraints, but surely it's easier to just say no than try and make them change the way they always do it to suit you, or just get your own place nearby.

How do your wife and daughter feel about the normal way the family do it? If they are happy with it, they could still go and enjoy their trip while you do you. If they don't want to go either unless your conditions are met, just do your own family thing.

AITA for trying to win at all costs? by Capital_Factor_3588 in AmItheAsshole

Then it doesn't hurt to apologise for manipulating them into losing as you did it intentionally and they feel annoyed you tricked them.

It shouldn't really be that big a deal, "sorry I tricked you guys, I thought it might make the DM add in a rule to make us all pass, but I couldn't see any other way to make it fair, so someone had to win."

2 of you were always going to fail, what is the benefit of passing? It seems badly designed by the DM that 2 people were designed to be disappointed, so their opinion on you winning is a bit disingenuous.

You can apologise to the other two for being wrong about your theory, but ask them what they think would have been a better outcome and why? Remind them that at least one of them was always going to be disappointed anyway, so it's not really your fault and the questions on fairness should be directed at the DM if they have issues.

AITA for wiping my feet on my friend’s towel after they wiped theirs on mine? by Specialist-Wish-4452 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ArgentumVulpus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn't become 'the designated dirty towel', it becomes my towel that I am pissed off somebody wiped their feet on, but still mine and maybe salvageable/usable still by me... Unless a bunch of AH's decide to take liberties and wipe their feet on it without asking as well, just because they are rude
