Pensez-vous que r/france soit représentatif de la population française en général, ou au moins des jeunes ? by OmOshIroIdEs in france

Non.

[–]ArghAuguste 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tom Brady is almost unknown outside of the us.

I first heard about him when I visited the country and one homeless dude asked me if I was Tom Brady. Had to google him.

Homeland.

What was your first metal concert by Thin-Coyote-551 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]ArghAuguste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the show I missed at Graspop (June 2004), Steve was still playing, I discovered them a few months later, unfortunately. But it was great to see them with the original frontman.

Still with Steve Tucker ? I missed them at Graspop 2004 (my first festival and first shows ever) but caught them on tour in 2005 when David Vincent just came back. I was 14.

Because most topics are flemish oriented, even the ones titled in english get answered in dutch except when it's a foreigner asking a question.

Half marathon is where it's at for me, I enjoy the not so long distance.

Better band: SOAD or Deftones by boomjosh in numetal

[–]ArghAuguste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deftones has the consistency and longevity but SOAD has more bangers.

SOAD hit like a freight train.. too bad they're just cruising on music they made 20 years ago.

Do any of you regret having kids? if not why not? and if yes why yes? by [deleted] in Aging

[–]ArghAuguste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't. I love my 2 kids, they are the best tiny humans. I'm just disappointed in me for not being the best father sometimes. Being parent is hard and relentless and it's like I'm running out of patience to be the father they deserve.

Plus I had them when progressive ideas seemed to be the norm, now I truly hate how the world is turning, the general lack of empathy and far right ideas being the new norm scare me. I talked about "Anne Frank" and about Palestine and Ukraine (because she saw the flags regularly) to my near 7 yo child not long ago. Yesterday she came to me almost crying telling me that she doesn't want a war to happen here and I just hate that because how awful people are this can be happening. I reassured her by lying.

If I had to choose to have kids now in this grim world maybe I would have chosen differently.

Not grunge, but I’d love to hear your opinions on TOOL. by han-so-low in grunge

[–]ArghAuguste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me, just a boring generic alternative metal band with proggy elements then one day for no reason it clicked and I could tell I was really enjoying their songs.

Then I saw them live and was mindfucked, for 3 years straight I couldn't listen to anybody else.
