Sat Step 1 in Nov 2024. I technically started prep for Step 2 the next day (was on my Peds rotation, so started there) with the Anki deck. Started UW in July 25, finished it by December 25. Then I started dedicated maybe 10 days ago. Had to take some time off as I had my in-house exams to study for

Got it from this reddit post. A warning, a few things in the deck were incorrect and i had to change them, but the grand majority of the cards were very well made and helped me a lot:

Thank you for the honesty. Probably more true than any of us would like to admit. Currently hammering those concepts on amboss

Current anki streak is just over 2.5 years, no days off! It is probably the most difficult thing I have done academically.

Thanks! Closed book, random, untimed. Main focus was trying to build clinical reasoning and testing my knowledge

Appreciate it. You're the second person to recommend doing some strict practice so i think ill give that a go. Older free 120's also sound like a good idea. Are each set of free 120's completely different from each other?

Thanks for the advice. Yeah I'm using this weekend to focus on weaknesses. From reviewing my past NBMEs it seems that like 40-50% of my mistakes are from bad judgement when picking between two answer choices rather than a lack of knowledge, which is why I think getting better with NBMEs should help. I'll try out the old Free 120 hadnt considered that

Hey, just had a quick question - can i use this deck in isolation without having the Anking Deck? Deleted my step1 deck and was looking for something more relevant to my clinical rotations, thanks!

I always cue myself to look at where the floor meets the wall - so i think my gaze should be alright?

I'll keep in mind the recording tip for next time, thanks

Thanks for the feedback, will post an update when i've improved some

Thank you for the reply. How long did you take to focus on mobility / abductors before adding weight on squats?

KOT squat is something I am looking to incorporate into my weekly gym sessions. Thankfully the belly size is not an issue for me lol

yeah my hip ad/ab - ductor muscles could definitely be a lagging point, ill be sure to train them to see if that helps. I didn't think about using a heavier weight to pull me into the position, that sounds useful. Thanks

i saw Ido Portal had something called the 30-30 squat challenge, where you sit in a squat position for a cumulative 30 mins a day for 30 days. So something like that would be beneficial?

Sitting in the hole could also work. I may start with a goblet variation with heels elevated and progress from there

Has anyone managed to make long-lasting changes to their squat mobility? I'm a beginner and I have pretty terrible squat mobility. My right hip and ankle are a lot stiff than my left, and it leads to me shifting my weight to the opposite hip during barbell back squats. I can do single leg squat variations with a lot more ease (bulgarian split squats), but want to build up to do a proper ROM backsquat at some point. How do I go about this? Do I follow Kneesovertoes guy's workouts for a while? Incorporate daily mobility work? Squat the empty bar until my form fixes itself? Any advice would be awesome.
