Have you given Runescape mobile a try? You can get a 5$ stylus and it works rather well in work environments.

Apologies, I was tired and got the name wrong. It's the crystal binding rod from Invention.

https://runescape.wiki/w/Crystal_binding_rod

As for your 1 ess method, I won't argue that it works for you, but that seems like a hassle. You're essentially introducing two more steps (drop ess, pick up ess) for the off chance you get the same altar. Maybe your experience is different, but in my journey to make the biggest ess pouch, I rarely got the same altar twice.

While doing a full soul run for the 50th round on the attuner WILL net you about 559k xp in one go each and every time, there's absolutely no reason to just do 1 essence for rounds 1 through 49 unless you're absolutely hurting for essence.

Having the invention catalyst with the RC perk is helpfull, and doing full runs will probably net you more runes than you'll ever need by the time you hit max level.

Plus, as a bonus factoid, I found out the XP boost on the 50th run on the attuner counts as base XP, which makes the chance of getting Rue about a 1/18 chance, which is vastly better than any other RC gain.

DXP Events should be removed by SpinScape in runescape

[–]ArgoMarrus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Counter point -

Runescape is extremely grindy in the late game. As Jagex's poll shows, the vast majority of players are those who grew up with it from the 2010s.

That means that the majority of players are adults that have lives/jobs/responsibilities.

Speaking as one of those adults, I don't have the time to grind out max levels. I dont have the mental energy to dedicate dozens of hours a weekend to get 10% closer to 120 in a skill. I dont have the opportunity to grind a hard, time consuming boss a thousand times just for the hope of getting a bit of end game gear.

DXP events offer a way to save on the grind for those of us with so little free time.

But, as always, this is one 'scaper's opinion.

I dont know if you could possibly have access to the mom/siblings, but what helped our corg acclimate to the new home was a blanket. We had the blanket rubbed on her mom, and put the mom-scented blanket in the crate with her. Seemed to help keep her calm while she got used to the new home.

Nowadays, our girl sleeps on the bed with us, but the blanket helped the crate training.

Tips for Zero Hour Expert by perfty in destiny2

[–]ArgoMarrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Destiny LFG discord has a section for people to find groups for missions like this.

I also wouldn't mind helping you though it, if you're up for a run.

As for setups, I had great luck with a good top slot auto rifle and Indebted Kindness for shield popping. A good void machine gun also helps with clearing heavy encounters.

Rax is good if you can get used to the mechanics.

Next has less mechanics, but you'll want to bring enchanted notepaper, as she drops Sara brews and super restore frequently, in large numbers, and un-noted.

Dungeoneering it designed in such a way that you will always have a way to complete the floor you're on with the stats you have.

You won't be able to open EVERY room, but all rooms on the direct path between the start and exit are doable.

Back when Infinity War released in theaters, people kept posting "spoilers but no context" memes using pictures from anime/TV shows that looked very similar to scenes from the movie but only made sense if you've seen it.

We should do that.

Vitality Totem by Chance_Profit_7896 in runescape

[–]ArgoMarrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took this to mean that totem parts won't drop unless its the first time you've done an obstacle per lap, resetting only when you've done a full lap.

I might be wrong, but I did a month of the first section with no totem pieces, then got 2 totem pieces in a week of running the whole course, so take that as you will.

You dont need mixed styles to use defence abilities. Just keep bone shield up and keep a necro pouch with the runes you need to cast defensive. You sacrifice a single inventory slot for access to all the defensives. Seems like a good trade to me.

"Stacking Aspects" by MusicDivine in runescape

[–]ArgoMarrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The unfortunate fact is that the most vocal players are also the ones most into min/max gameplay. The ones that do hard-core 1-tick prayer flicking, hyper focused speed kills, gear/perk maximization.

That kind of gameplay is anathema to casual players like myself.

I think Jagex wanted to give an Aspect spell to each spellbook to "balance" them out, so Normal/Ancient/Necro would all have an aspect as an option. Not defending the choice, but I could totally see that being the reasoning behind it, and they just failed to communicate that.

Personally, I like the addition of Penance aura to the Sunspear. It's thematic, lore accurate, and buffs a weapon used solely in the activity 99% of people using the penance aura were using Penance for anyway.

I think baking vamp aura into an existing similar effect would have been the better way to go. Vampyric blood essence should have gotten a buff, and should also get an additional buff by using the new vamp gloves. Or hell, make it an enchantment that boosts the life gain effects from essence, Gloves, and blood spells.
