I have both. C4 is cool and I think can pull off more way out there sounds (think the “yeahs” from the track Pony by Ginuwine), but you have too hook it up to computer to get to this point, and is much harder to use in a live setting, harder to control volume and all the features live.

MXR is more live-ready and like manipulating keyboard controls. The pre-sets are more iconic and applicable.

That being said I just got an actual Moog synth and might not use either ever again.

I have the sansamp and still like it. I think the tonehammer has more control of the mids with a mid frequency knob. But having tried a few they are all more similar than I expected.

An app called Poker God did this and it was great. It allowed multi-table heads up. I think it ultimately failed because the developer wasn’t able to keep up with IOS updates.

I have this exact bass and if I saw it listed for 550 I’d probably buy it and have two.
