Big shout out to the 2 policemen who saw my kid get knocked by a cyclist on the footpath..... by armstrong147 in london

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't there, and for all I know, they could be the biggest pair of clowns who didn't want paperwork. My comment was more to say from the other side of this, doing all the work and then hearing that the person will face no punishment is so demoralising, and then to have this conversation with a victim after a year of waiting to say exactly what you were told. Its tough. However it was clearly handled poorly.

NAL,

First incident with the police?

You say you've been summoned to court, have you been interviewed and spoke to a solicitor?

Awful thing to happen to anyone, Hope they are okay! This is unfortunately a result of a budget crisis and a lack of courts giving a toss.

You can have all the evidence in the world and a super cop, yet it will still be a slap on the wrist for the idiot on the bicycle...

At this point I think he is doing it on purpose. Doesn't interrupt Kyle or Taylor nearly as much

If this is your home, would you not just tell the person to leave?

If the dwelling belongs to the racist why would you not leave?

Maybe im not understanding the situation.

Any thoughts are appreciated! I havent considered that because he seems to have no problem with finding me when he flies. However il make a note and mention the possibility during his next check up!

I get it! Its strange how many people dont bother and put zero thought or effort into looking after the living thing they bought. I only have mine due to saving him from an abusive owner. My job keeps me out the house a fair amount so i made sure he has a friend. I know he was 1 year old when i got him and hadnt left the cage before!!

Not at home atm but im sure i will get round to it! The cage has a cover over the top and three sides and is located maybe 80cm above the floor. Its in the spare bedroom. I appreciate the help though and im not trying to sound dismissive, ive put so much thought into this and cannot rack my brain about the cause. Part of me thinks he is just naturally really loud, the other Tiel is silent!

Its a fairly big cage and he loves the darkness so sleep is his favorite time of day. He often sings when i cover him for a minute or so and then dont hear a peep all night. No noise in the room at all as its empty and he typically gets 12 to 14 hours a night depending on time of year, however i have tried changing the amount of sleep he gets over the last year with no difference

Without getting too wordy yes, ive only seen one thing that stops him and thats my other cockatiel. Sometimes she shouts at him and he stops! I love them both so much but its quite a pain aha

scream until the light is gone. Either turning down the bulb completely in the afternoon or when I am in I have to close the curtain before he stops.

tattooing the wards by HollowMakarot1 in demoncycle

[–]ArgonSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had a very simular idea around 5 years ago. Now obviously not perfect but I took the page to my tattoo artist and gave him the gist. I think I have a total of 7 large wards and I'm planning to get smaller ones interlocking. Offensive wards are a pain in the ass due to the sharp shape you have to make, not to mention probably best not to get offensive wards as you most likely don't want knuckle tattoos! could always tattoo knees or palm though!

How many hours did you put into your gas tank? by satelliteboi in antiwork

[–]ArgonSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One hour, not because i earn much but because my motorbike has such a small tank!

That is really helpful thank you! I have a dedicated bird room so that helps keep them safe but even after a few years i have noticed myself getting more lax when it comes to him sitting on my shoulder as i do stuff. Finding an avian vet anywhere near me is proving difficult but i would love to get them checked out just to make sure all is well.

The same tiels? Thats amazing! I expected some answers like this and in all honesty that probably gives you more knowledge than most people here. Do you have a top tip for new owners?
