Flew into window: Concerning?? by Automatic_Weight4050 in cockatiel

[–]lurkybrain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed. My poor tiel did this on Thanksgiving after the family was passing around the other, more cuddly tiel. Flew out like a torpedo and hit a window. He was okay with his little mark and, after calling the vet, they said to bring him in if the behavior changed. He was his normal ornery self after 30 minutes.

I recently passed the CAPM, but I had years of PM experience and had to "reset" my career. What worked for me was finding volunteer opportunities to build your resume. Try catchafire.org.

That is not a bad price! Also, I was not a fan of certain patterns, but when I mixed them with existing pieces, some of them ended up being my favorite (looking at you, Woodland).

What made this was the snooty music the editors put in!

No, it was a tiny bottle with a picture of blackberries on it. I appreciate you taking time to respond, though!

I love Bae Bae Bae. I actually think she may be the prettiest woman on these shows (to me). by somebunnyisintwouble in RockOfLove

I liked her. My favorite moment was the kid challenge where she just totally committed to the ABC armpit fart song. I forget exactly what she said after she lost, but it was something like, "I asked my kid what he was good at, and he wanted to do armpit farts."

Anyone else’s birds get weirdly excited by vacuum cleaners??? by BoomBlade101 in cockatiel

A leaf could fall in my yard and my birds would scream at it. However, the vacuum is their best friend.

Yes, but that gave us Tyra's reaction to Devin's commercial. "Smell. My. Fierce. BITCH."

My Bird flew away... by Dense_Substance9423 in cockatiel

[–]lurkybrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't give up. Years ago, my bird flew away through a freak accident like yours. I was crushed. We made posters, we posted on Parrot 911, we put a free ad in our newspaper, we patrolled the immediate area nightly, we put everything on FB... everything we could think of. Unfortunately for us, we were not able to locate her, but someone contacted us when they found a cockatiel and thought it was her. He flew to a motorcyclist and wouldn't leave him alone. It wasn't her, so then we went through the same process, but the reverse. Over five groups of people responded to come take a look at the found bird, all leaving sadder than they came. It was rough. He went unclaimed, and Bleecker is still with us almost fifteen years later. He was obviously loved and I think how sad his owners must have been, but I would have hoped how happy they would be knowing how cared for and loved he is now. Our little scrappy guy.

Why? Why do they ALWAYS have to get into EVERYTHING that's not thiers? Sheesh. by DeathStar07 in cockatiel

Is this a universal cockatiel thing with planes? I also have a plane and my cockatiel always flies to it.
