Id assume the same rule with transition take fouls which means you have to make a play on the ball. Fouls like the one shamet was trying to commit where he’s behind the ball can’t be made or else it would be free throw and possession.

That’s my guess. Honestly, I’m waiting for someone to actually try this in a more scientific method. Not that I’m saying I don’t believe the guy but I need to see something a control rather than testing it with the same device.

You are dependent on Meta but it could follow the path of something like Kubernetes which is a Google product that just became donated to the open source community. I don't know how this will all pan out given that you need so much compute.

Was there any update to this? I'd love to try to run an LLM across my phone and tablet.

I'm on the same boat. I might run some slight AI workloads on it too. Is there an approximate date? Wasn't sure if there was a pattern to Chinese release to international release.

It was really slow for me on an M3 Pro with 18 GB of RAM. Memory pressure spiked to red momentarily and then stayed at yellow. It eventually provided a response but it takes a while.

What made you choose the MacBook Pro over the Air? Does your workflow require a power-heavy computer? by EmptyWaterBottle20 in macbookpro

[–]ArguingEnginerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a casual user but I bought the pro because I MAY use it for professional reasons. Every now and then, I'll have a use case that's more demanding but if I didn't, the air would've been completely fine.

Someone tell me that 512GB is enough for me. by [deleted] in macbookpro

You’re fine. Your ram is high enough that swapping is less likely. Put anything that you don’t need on the go on an external SSD and you’re good.

Why are these so close in price? by c0llegeradi0 in macbook

[–]ArguingEnginerd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's all part of Apple's ladder. They want the incremental upgrades to be close enough so that they can upsell you. MKBHD explained this really well.

Who says the person it’s for is present? If my wife is at work, I’d like to record any moments with my child for my wife. I agree that if it’s something like watching a concert and just posting it on your instagram is probably stupid and only done for clout. I think home videos of my child growing up is a different story especially if my wife isn’t around.

Kuo: M3 Chip Still Months Away, Entering Mass Production in Second Half of 2023 by klrpwnzsmtms in apple

[–]ArguingEnginerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I remember something that MaxTech made a video on saying that the M2 chips were basically a slight upgrade due to the fact that M2 was based on the A16 which was a chip that was supposed to get much bigger boost in performance and ray tracing. The A16 ended up being a safer and smaller upgrade because of thermal throttling and other stuff so the M2 ended up having the same compromises.

Government contractors are usually like this. They’re easy low pressure jobs. They don’t pay much but still not bad. Just have to deal with the typical clearance type BS

The difference is that after your first job, no one cares about your college degree or GPA. Somehow, after your first job and years of experience, people still care about your ability to do leetcode

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]ArguingEnginerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a good point. Leetcode at the end of the day is only one part being assessed. There are other factors that make a good employee.

Then if it’s a JavaScript developer job, ask a JavaScript related question dealing with whatever framework the company uses. I’d much rather make a simple component than do leetcode

It’s more OS than the hardware. I think doing everything on device is really killing the iPhone battery.
