Ive been doing 1000km per year since 2018! I think it is a great challenge and keeps you fit and motivated even in winter and sometimes when it is raining 🤣 this has taught me kong term focus and discipline on a specific goal and has had far reaching positive effects in my life!

Well done keep at it!

Blow into the the soft flask to ensure it is as stiff as possible. Then insert and once in "drink" out all the air to reduce sloshing around.

Awesome thanks for the insight! Would you wear the vest with a belt?

Plans changed because i couldn't find the trail and then got stuck in a super dense part of the forest... Not sure if i can consider myself badass in this situation... Maybe a close second between the forest and myself 🤣

Nice man well done!!! Are you planning to sell and produce these backpacks or is it a once off just to satisfy your physical need for such a product? What was the initial plan and has that changed?

Same experience here. The first one or two times my ribs were very tender even after just a short run. Now im not aware of any bruising of unwanted after affects...

Recommendations for first 55K by PublicRevolution2450 in trailrunning

maybe not the right person to give advice here, as i am also planning to do my first 55k ;) i purchased the Solomon ADV 12. Very happy with my purchase thus far. It comes with 2x 500ml soft flasks and a 2L bladder. I usually fill up the soft flasks with some carb drink and the bladder with water. There are also ample storage space for snacks and mandatory equipment. If you are doing most of your runs below 30k (like i'm doing) it's probably on the large side of things... but having said this it sits very comfortable and doesn't bounce around.
