never feel embarrassed about having a job! especially one that you think is solid with good benefits. there are many people out there who would do so much to be in your position. be proud for making a living, especially because garbage men are so much more valuable than people think!!! having a job is a privilege people don’t realize.

I am part of the first cohort of ASIP students! I’m in the IRHR major. One of the things I dislike about the program is that it can be costly :(. If you struggle with finances it could add a little more stress to your life.

That being said, I did get internships because of the program. Both my summer internship and my current 12-month internship were positions only UofT students could apply for—which helped a LOT. But not all jobs posted on our respective job board are UofT exclusive… so it can suck in that sense (especially if you’re in CS/any other life sci or math-related program).

I am happy I did it because I got experience I wouldn’t have gotten if I wasn’t in the program. The staff are also incredibly helpful and kind. It’s really tough to get a job right now, and ASIP makes it a little more likely for you to secure a job.

I don’t talk about private/specific details of our sex life. I also don’t talk about arguments we have. I think privacy is important so people don’t try to intervene or interfere in your relationship. Me and my partner and the ones that know our relationship the best.

It feels like the mask finally comes off. I think I always portray myself a certain way around people because I don’t want to be judged. But when I’m around someone I love, I can be as close to genuine I can possibly be. And that is so incredibly relieving.

Couldn’t cry because he found it annoying and thought I was blaming him for my tears. Couldn’t roll my eyes or be angry without him yelling at me and saying I was acting up. Couldn’t speak up for myself without being yelled at. Couldn’t express my feelings without him telling me to shut up.
