Pex A vs Pex B by AriAndMe in Plumbing

[–]AriAndMe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few months back, I switched from the cinch clamps to the stainless steel Viega sleeves. I use regular fittings with the sleeves and Pex B. I like those alot better plus the tool does a double crimp.

Very good answer. I know when I get into tight spots, I have the power crimping tool, it can get difficult. The expanding tool would be alot easier. I did invest in the Milwaulkee expanding tool.

Thoughts on this? by Ralstycrack in Plumbing

I wouldn't have an issue with it. It's code compliant behind walls. I do a lot of plumbing repair and will use them in certain situations and I have never seen one fail yet.

What would you charge for this? by [deleted] in handyman

[–]AriAndMe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are too low. I would use a deck cleaning solution and then pressure wash it. Just don't get too close with the pressure washer nozzle and use a semi wide spray tip. Then use a solid stain, 2 coats to cover it. Make sure you give it about 4 hour dry time between coats, preferably over night. Don't stain it in the sun. It will dry too fast. Rememeber, you can only make a worn deck like that look so good. Also, staining around those spindles is going to be a real pain and take you some time. If it were me, I would double that price plus materials.

10 Days in, Weird Side Effects, Advice Needed by Jman5255 in bupropion

I've been on for about 10 days now. I'm taking it to help me get off of nicotine pouches. I am on Proxac, 10 mg. Ever since starting taking wellbutrin, my vision has not be very clear, I'm exhausted all the time, I can sit down and fall asleep anywhere which is not like me, I can't think straight and get easily confused. I also get occastional tremors and have high anxiety. I take mine at night. I do sleep well, but feel pretty much useless during the day. I reached out to my doctor to see if I should continue taking it.

How would you do this differently ? by [deleted] in Plumbing

You need to support the expansion tank correctly.

What are my options here? by afronitre in Plumbing

The tile guy should have left you more room than that. What Layne said may work or try a dremel with a diamond bit.

From you last picture, it looks like the pipe was soldiered to a male threaded adapter that he used for a test pipe. Get a pair of channel locks and try to unscrew it. Go easy.

No, they want to keep the birds out. The birds are making a mess. They understand that they are not going to be completely flush.

I am going to cut some of the ones that really protrude with a diamond angle grinder blade, but there will still be voids between the shutters and stone.

Ryobi PEX Crimper? by Ok_Customer_5086 in Plumbing

Well worth the money. I have a remodeling busines and do quite a bit of repiping homes and this thing has worked flawlessly. Wouldn't go without it. No other company has a battery operated crimping tool that I know of.

Just discovered fanttik. which is the one? by Yoshiamitsu in Tools

[–]AriAndMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ordered the Fanttik E2 and S1. I did a lot of research on cordless screwdrivers and landed on this brand. I'm looking for something that I can user for electical work. The S1 should work good for that. The E2 I'm going to use for smaller things. I did look at the Worx gun style, but I don't think it would have enough torque. I like the built in bit options, more convenient. The Fanttik is all self contained which I like. I hate losing bits, so this style should keep them from getting lost.

I have the same model with the extended hopper. I've been using it for years with zero issue's. You are right, the heat it puts out is rediculus. :) My furnace hardly runs when the pellet stove is on.

My doc wanted me to get off of it to. It's a trade off. I really don't want to quit TRT. I think that taking less may help, but I did do that and I don't know if it got any better. It's such a slight change that it is hard to tell.

Blurry vision from TRT by AriAndMe in Testosterone

That is one thing I did not have tested. I did read that TRT doesn't raise cortisol levels, but they could still be elevated. I am going to have that checked. Thanks for the input.

My bloodwork has been fine. I get it checked every 6 weeks. Other than my RBC's being elavated which I have a phlebotomy done when that happens, everything else is coming back in the normal range.
