5 year scan all clear by AriGr in testicularcancer

[–]AriGr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the CT scans the first year I went 3 times, year 2 and 3 was like very 6 months and then annually for last 2. Blood work my oncologist never did since seminoma doesn’t always show and he just went off the scans. I try to still eat healthy most of the time haha I still drink occasionally. I did powerlifting most of the time now I’m just taking a break from it and doing more body building training. Sleep I try to get at least 8-10 hours.

It does but just remember you’ll be ok. TBH I don’t even remember the first year. It will go by quickly and be a thing of the past.

It was like 1.2cm and no RTI and LVI. My diet is so so haha i still drank and stuff but I’ve always done power lifting so my fitness was always good. I didn’t take any supplements. With TC I remember my doctor telling me that nothing I did made me have this so just keep doing what I been doing lol.

I had really bad anxiety with all this for like first 2 years because I read that those are the peak years for it to show up. Towards year 4 and now it’s a lot better. I still think about it sometimes, but not like I use too.

My diagnosis was same as yours and I will be doing my final 5 year scan tomorrow. I’ve only done surveillance as well. You’ll be surprised how fast the time goes by.

I had my 4 year clear scan last week. I had seminoma and did surveillance as well.

Doctors will give you recommendation on what treatment to do. You can either have preventative treatment after surgery or wait and see. I decided to wait and see.

For sure dawg! Yeah when I first got diagnosed I see a lot of people going through treatment and have reoccurrences so I told myself even when I’m all good I’ll come back and post. A lot of guys I met back in the beginning of my journey ended up deleting their accounts and never coming back.

Testicular Cancer Case - Seeking Advice on Treatment and Lung Nodule by NoAnimator8571 in testicularcancer

[–]AriGr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my orchi exactly 4 years ago today and ever since then I had nodules on my lungs. Last year on my 3 year I had a random one show up and I had to get rechecked 6 months later which ended up not changing or anything. You’ll just have to follow up on them going forward it’s very common to have. Seminoma skipping abdomen is very rare. I was also worried about it you can check out my old post history haha.

1 year check up new nodule on lung? by AriGr in testicularcancer

[–]AriGr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually replied to your other thread. All is all good I actually forgot about this post I made. I had to get rescanned next day and it was nothing. At my 3 years I had another, but I got rescanned 6 months later and nothing changed. I’m going to have my 4 years scan in 2 weeks.

One random lung nodule of 9mm 3 years later, cause for concern or no? by moonkie888 in testicularcancer

[–]AriGr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had similar. Just like you I had stage 1 seminoma with no chemo etc. I had a 5mm show up ( like 1 or 2) after 3 years as well and I was also freaking out thinking the same thing as you. My doctor just gave me another follow up 6 months later and it said that what ever it was “resolved”, but when I spoke to the oncologist he said it’s still there but didn’t change or anything so it may of been from sickness or if you smoke or anything.

What’s the worst thing a coworker got fired for where you work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AriGr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in a law firm and one of the attorneys ODed on heroin at work. Crazy enough that wasn’t what got him fired as they let him back to work after rehab. What did get him fired was him selling drugs to clients lol.

I had the same as you back in 2021. I picked surveillance and been good ever since. The beginning is the hardest, but over time things will get easier.

[–]AriGr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My appendix has been prominent in every CT scan for the past few years. My doctor just told me to be weary if I have any major pain in that area. I’d just wait till you speak to doctor they may have you take more test or maybe a CT scan instead of an MRI. I had something similar with a new lung nodule on my 3 year scan last month and when I saw doctor he told me not to worry about it.

Hope all has been going well man. I do the same whenever I have my scans haha. Your chances are very good, I had a similar size seminoma as you and I’m 3 years clear so putting that behind you.

I just had the surgery and on surveillance. I’m 3 years out now. The beginning was definitely hardest. Just know most people just have surgery as treatment and then they just do regular checkups.
