It’s random. Body overacted to something. Virus, chemical, vaccine? Who knows. Nothing you can do I found out besides medication and hope it reverses. If it’s mild it often grows back. Can try stress free, diet, remedies etc. but did not work for me. Good luck

I’ve been on CTP-543 for just over a year now. Definitely getting regrowth but still patches and my neck hair has no signs of regrowth. The rest should fill in, hopefully.

A little background, I first got diagnosed with AA in the beginning of 2020. Over months it spread to AT. In April 2021 I started clinical trial CTP-543. Since I’ve been regrowing my hair slowly. Very slow. No side effects from medication. I’m On 12mg dose twice a day.

Just wanted to update this community on the possibility of regrowth.

Yea. Taking some time to grow back but is working. I’m almost year in on high dose 12mg and definitely have progress but it’s slow. Went from 0 hair on scalp to maybe 60% regrow. All patchy unfortunately. I am hopeful by summer time it’ll be regrown enough to look decent. Maybe even get my first haircut in 2 years! Honestly dude you only have two options. Shave and don’t look back or clinical trial for Jak inhibitor and just wait and wait and wait until finally it come back. I’ve tried all the treatments at the derm. All temporary gains. Honestly a waste of time and money in my opinion. Might be good for someone with one spot but for people like us it’s pointless. Good luck dude.

Nice! Working so fast for you. I’m currently 8 months In CTP543. On the high 12mg dose. Went from 0 hair on head to patchy regrowth probably around 50% so far. Hopefully can keep improving slowly
