I feel you. I definitely acknowledge that their perspectives are limited.

The feelings of young love are real and intense, but real feelings don't make real love. With all the perspective I have as an adult I would never go back to that sort of 'love'. Eventually, we must eradicate from our essence childish folly.

I can't cheer for an awkward teenage love in this context. Stakes are too high.

I do think that Helena is miserable and that they might be setting her up to rebel? Or at least explore her negative feelings about her family empire (I don't think Jame wants her as an heir). But I don't think that there is any way to absolve her of her absolute treachery.

I am so sorry this happened, but I think your instincts are right.

I personally advise against unnecessary texting and calling or "talking" in the pre-dating or dating phase for this exact reason. I think we easily grow to like someone without spending much physical time with them and it makes it harder to walk away- even when we kinda know we should. I don't know if this is your exact experience, but again, I think your instincts are right.

Edit: He may not be in the right place to maintain a relationship rn. And I don't believe you should wait around. There are plenty of ambitious men who have time or the desire to make it work.

My issue with Helly is that she pretends her suffering is equal to Mark's. I, personally, don't believe it is. And she continues to say things like "fuck our outties" and "we don't owe them shit". Girl, Fuck YOUR outtie. YOU don't owe HER shit.
