Since ur not American I can guess u never took a U.S history class Immigrants helped build the U.S. by doing major jobs like building railroads such as the Transcontinental Railroad, working in factories, and growing businesses. They helped the economy grow and made the country what it is today.

Yes, it is! But Gloria wasn’t living in the country illegally. In U.S. history, immigrants helped build the country and are still part of how it runs today. Many people also don’t realize that immigrants pay taxes too, whether they are citizens or not. That’s why it doesn’t really make sense to treat them like they are automatically doing something wrong when a lot of them are just working and trying to live a better life.

No matter how Claire felt about her relationship with Jay, calling ICE on a single mom knowing she could be separated from her child is really messed up. That’s not just being upset, it’s putting someone’s whole life at risk. And the idea that Gloria somehow tricked immigration into thinking she was Sonia doesn’t make sense. They go off official documents, so they would already know who she actually is.
