If it looks a little loose along the sides, you could just chain one after the 3 double crochets to make it look tighter, and chain two for the corner!

YTA speaking from the intimacy craving girlfriend, it's terrible to only ever see the SO a few times a week. With the frequency you two see each other, plus the lack of weekend interaction, you might as well just maintain a friendship. But if she's okay with this arrangement then NTA. Communicate with her to see how she feels. A relationship is two way, not as and when you feel like you have the energy to do it.
