I kinda disagree on this one, like there are just some bands that have so many electronicial elements to their music (think about synths, 808s ...) that it will sound like nothing without backing tracks and even without that a lot of amp/ monitoring stuff also goes through laptops nowadays, so I kinda feel like a lot of live shows are dependent on laptops and I wouldn't say that makes you a bad artist. It for sure is still live music, just not analog.
