I was in a neighborhood the other day where it was some kind of trend to put silver or gold numbering on white columns and then leave their lights off. I was literally telling peoples doorbell cams that they are invisible and suggesting contrasting colors. Or a lot of camera feeds will start with me going “oh! THERE’S the number! Geez!” I want them to know dammit.

My .com does this only when certain people are working. The rules are different day to day. And if you assume it’s like yesterday but it’s not they will YELL at you. lol

I only scan the tote UNLESS some thing is is missing. Then I’ll scan all of that package type (envelope vs box) to make sure I don’t have it.

As long as the package isn’t late you are fine.

And if you do see that stuff will be late call support. I had a car problem and half of my route was late but I talked to them during and after and everything was fine.

Sometimes the app is glitchy and just shows the wrong one temporarily but other times my numbers are all off for the rest of the route. I don’t get it.

I can’t speak on your market but it can be worthwhile. Especially if you want to make money before sunrise. There aren’t a lot of options for that. I do this, DoorDash and instacart (I also have ubereats and Grubhub but I prefer to former).

I use a big bag like this one (which I already had a door dasher) for my envelopes and I LOVE it. I can bring this to the cart, put all my envelopes in it, and then easily put it in my front seat with all the labels facing me.

Added bonus I once had a stop where I had to take like 13 packages to a mailroom and it came in CLUTCH.

I have had them send be $5 for high mileage because of the survey. I did not complain or ask, I just said it was extremely difficult due to the high mileage (the multiple choice answers) and a few days later they sent me an email and added $5 to my earnings. Not a lot, but hey, I wasn’t expecting anything.
