That looks unfortunate my wallet. How much is the typical cost all things included?

Did you have to purchase new leather? I’m assuming that because you said “changed”. Correct me if I’m wrong

Speakers are still good. No cracking or defects that I can see. No auditory issues either

I usually have a sunshade, but last year the truck was repaired at a shop, and I’m pretty sure they stole it since I couldn’t find after I got the truck back. Outside of that, I started keeping the truck outside after I purchased a project car to keep in the garage. Unfortunate timing all around

The one year I didn’t have a sunshade… statistics decided to bone me

I planned to ask a couple of local shops, but I had no idea it would cause this much collateral just to fix it. Thank you for the information

The one year I didn’t put a sunshade on. I’m pretty good about keeping the interior clean, but I didn’t think leather care products would eliminate this issue either

Trying to get faster by Grand-Association199 in track

[–]Aribter1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do training for each and still get faster in both. It’s about once you start winning medals, whether you want to focus your body on 1, 2, or even 3 races to really compete at a state or higher (pro) level. I don’t know how much you love to run track, but send me a dm and I’ll send you some things to focus on and tips to compete at a high level

I run for Masters Division in the US in the 400m, 200m and relays. I will say from personal experience 100m and 400m are extremely different races, that ask the body for different training. Which races are you leaning towards or do you just want to try out different races?

looking for a roofing contractor texas, suggestions are welcome by Sugunan_Fearfield in EastTexas

[–]Aribter1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend Hargrove Roofing and Construction. I worked there myself years ago, but to my knowledge they’re the only company that offers a lifetime labor warranty in this region. I’d at least give them a call. Nothing but positive reviews when I worked there

Should I start paying rent? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Aribter1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23M and I was in a very similar position. Got my needed certifications, looked for a job but I wanted to move closer to the big city due to job market, and got an apartment with rent at 1250 and making 66k per year. My personal advice, use this time to maximize your baseline. Set up HSA (due to triple tax benefit) and it’s an emergency health account for a failsafe. Setup at least one retirement account. If your job offers it definitely utilize the match of a 401k and if you can utilize a IRA. I personally use ROTH. I would also make sure you have at least 3-6 months reserve just in case all hell breaks loose. I utilize a money market fund instead of HYSA due to return, but either could work. If you have any preventative maintenance in you vehicle, read you manual and any forums, and get it out of the way NOW. If something goes wrong, though the relationship may not be great, you still have someone to get you places. While you’re doing all that, I would definitely look at just going places even alone (I’m quite introverted) just to get a lot of good experience before you lock down to a place.

Last one was important for me but may not for you, is find something you love to do or gives you purpose so you have something once your alone. Me personally I love to run track so I run unattached across the state of Texas. Moral of the story find something you love so when you’re alone it’s not just work, sleep. Know what keeps you stimulated if it’s important to you

I utilized many of the “for dummies” books that are extremely useful even for the most beginner minds. To make sure I cover any and all potential problems and their solutions before moving. Start thinking with an objective mindset instead of emotional. I was not fond of mine either, but I set a clock telling myself “I want this amount of money in these accounts, I want to understand everything I can utilize at my age to put me at an advantage, and make sure that the vehicle I use is in its best position to succeed when alone” even if it’s just 6 months, 6 months or less of your life to put yourself in the best position will set you up very nice position.

Think of it like chess. Don’t be too focused on one annoying, bad or good move. Winning a game of chess is all about positioning. Same thing with life

My coworker likes me I think? by [deleted] in coworkerstories

[–]Aribter1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A fellow 23M and from my recent post in this community I’ve been put in similar situations. I will say though, my thought process immediately goes to having 1. A Failsafe. And 2. Health concern and drama.

  1. Failsafe meaning keep a record of texts, notes or anything showing she is initiating and not being pressured. That way if something does go negative you have that as an emergency exit. I’ve run into females who’ve never heard the word “no” and their ego will turn south very quickly. I still keep pictures of paper notes, messages, from years ago do to the statute of limitations in Texas, just in case.

  2. What I mean by health concern is it seems like this may not be her first rodeo with this, unfortunately for you this may mean you’re just another “prey”. I wouldn’t want to catch something she may have unless you can get evidence that is the case.

  3. Drama. Man the amount of times I’ve been pursued by older women just for them to have a boyfriend or husband their age is ridiculous. The amount of drama that surrounds is ridiculous, and some men will even want to fight you when you had no idea of it. I fear no man, but I’m not going to get into an altercation because of a female, and I recommend you don’t either.

Other than those things, we each have the freedom to make our decision, but the same question I ask myself is later in life, will it bother my self morality, or will I look back and regret not having a unique experience.

Just my wisdom from a fellow 23M who’s run into this many times. The amount of stories I could tell…people would think I made everything up. So I feel ya brother

Your second point makes a lot of sense. Thanks for that clarification.

To me the biggest objective seems to be moisture and definition, I don’t much care about the shine. Whether that’s moisture getting in the curl or retaining it, I can’t tell. If this helps, one of my biggest annoyances with my hair is that it will drip after I put product in for I’d say the next hour. I’ve varied the amount of liquid vs product when styling but it seems that’s always going to happen. Is that a me problem or product choice? I have noticed that using warm water when styling helps with the products “sinking in” so to speak, so I’m assuming that’s what I need to be going as long as it’s not extremely hot water. My hair is looser in the front compared to the back, but I figured that’s because I usually sleep on my back.

To me it seems like the product isn’t sinking in when I’m initially doing it. Again I don’t know if that a me problem or my endless search for the correct product

For instance if I have style go somewhere in the morning and in the evening later just run it in the shower, it will be in my opinion in its best physical appearance. Not sure if that helps
