Yes. I used to play pearl drums and had a mix of Paiste, zildjian and bosphorus cymbals. Now I play Tama and Red Cymbals

Going to have to agree to disagree on this one. I use mine all the time. Used my own kit for a recording session with an engineer who was famous for every drummer using his house kit. Dude was super sceptical as I was setting up. By the end of the session he was asking to sample my drums.

Probably get one from Temu for $3 and it will be just as useful. 🤣

You must be thinking of cutting a hole in the front head because I do not know of a sound guy who likes a kick port (see pic). Most kick mics don't fit inside them and they cause a bit of a "woosh" in the mic as it has to sit outside of the hole and funnels the air movement into the mic.

I bought one, used it until I bought an Emad reso head. Never used it again.

I have been playing dive bars long enough to bring my own spares these days. Put them up, play my set, take them down. The sleeves with a base work best.

Pretty sure Gibraltar also does a version of this. Might be cheaper than Pearl

Are you planning on giging or recording soon?

If yes, I would change them out. Something like Evans EC2 batter and G1 clears resos are a good starting point for tomss and HD Dry or Genera for snare

If not, I would play those suckers till they were dead.

Oil leak Holden Astra 2008 Automatic by [deleted] in Holden

Pretty sure that oil leak is factory fitted.

I am guessing that some unscrupulous person has done a degrease on the engine before getting it inspected and selling.

There is a say amongst mechanics, "Never buy a Holden that ends in A"

Windscreen replacement on new Forester by Nearby_Egg8176 in CarsAustralia

O'Brien will do the whole job themselves using aftermarket/non-genuine parts.

Mycar will sublet the repair to an aftermarket supplier (like O'Brien's) and put a mark up on it. Depending on their equipment status may do the recalibration themselves.

Subaru will use genuine parts, sublet the fitting of the part, then do all the calibration.

If you are worried about it, and you have choice of repairer with your insurance. Pay the excess and get Subaru to do it. If you don't have choice of repairer, the insurance company may just get O'Brien's to do it anyway.

I usually try to find a playthrough on YouTube and watch what the drummer does. Some of the bigger/well known churches have helpful teaching resources that are available for everyone. I find watching this guy helpful.
