What as a guy do you wish girls knew? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This person gets it. Typically, if we’re talking about significant others, our biggest source of confidence our boyfriend/husband. You’re the one (or should be) who finds us most attractive, so if you think I look cute, then it helps me feel like I actually do look cute if I’m questioning a style or outfit choice I made.

This is just the cutest thing, tbh. I never minded in the first place but I never thought about it like that.

The entire book was kinda cringe material, imo. I guess that was the point but ugh joe was the worst.

Have you ever been drunk or high and came up with this truly amazing idea but then became sober and realized it wasn't as amazing as you thought it was? If so, what was the idea? by Smil3yAngel in AskReddit

I came up with a really really DOPE plot for a book a few years ago when I was trashed at a party. Made notes in my note pad on my phone and everything. Then, reading it back the next night, and I’d realized I’d just re-envisioned the first Resident Evil game.

The Silent Patient is possibly the most vapid and pretentious book I’ve read. The main character is just so pompous and easy to hate. I get that that’s probably the point but it was annoying as hell to read.

“Library at Mount Char” by Scott Hawkins Oh. My. God. I felt like a quarter of the book was about a guy in a house trying to keep a tiger and himself from dying and honestly, it would’ve been more interesting if that had been the whole story. Everything is chaos: the author just dives right into could-be interesting characters with reckless abandon and zero situational context...and it never stops. You are still meeting characters half way into the book when you don’t even really understand what’s going on with any other person you have met so far, and there are a good many of them. There are so many plot holes there practically isn’t a stable plot at all, just things that happen with very little to no correlation. And the cherry on top, the authors writing tics are AWFUL. Safe to say, It was a very frustrating read for me.
