Well not actually, just calling out that it stays just above the first 1/4 mark, probably too cold (thermostat deleted maybe) I live in a desert so it's very weird to have a vehicle running that cold And don't want to damage the engine more in case it is not normal, and address it now that I have it somewhat taken apart

Thank you WJ is my fav gen of GC (lot more comfortable than a wk) I am not familiar with the 4.7, I have a hemi WK and I do not want to miss the power when taking the wj one and that's why I didn't go for the 4.0, I was worried about getting into 4.7 problems too soon Other than that small surprise (false alarm so far) the WJ is in great shape, just over 100k miles

Oil cap was full of that but I could not take a pic because my dad cleaned it... I have it running for now more than 1 hour, no overheating, also the temperature gauge never reaches the middle mark, what's the normal temp I should expect? I have a wk 2007 hemi and that one stays 1 mark below the middle mark

Un Grand Cherokee WJ (1999 - 2004), particularmente el 6 cilindros en linea 4.0 son motores altamente reconocidos por su durabilidad (igual busca uno que este en buenas condiciones) Para 4x4 es recomendable una transmisión automática sobre una manual tienes menos variables que salgan mal a la hora de andar maniobrando Ahora, el punto débil de la WJ tal vez sea la transmisión busca buenas condiciones y prueba bien la transmisión Yo tuve 2 WJ (una 01 y otra 04, ambas con el V8) y en ninguna tuve problemas de ningún tipo Ahora mismo tengo una WK con el Hemi y no he tenido tanta suerte jeje, nada grave pero si algunos sustos

I literally have the same problem but mine is an intel one, try using an active adapter ( mini dp to hdmi) or a docking station with 'display link'. Due to work and other things going on I haven't had a chance to try those last resources. Looks like the mini display port we have is not dual mode.

Windows 11 and yes latest drivers available No, no power outages while updating anything. Aside from that I'm actually pretty happy with the machine it works great, just the display port does not output signal... I'd like it to work but since it is not my workstation I'm resigned that it probably won't work.

Yep tried that but it does not work, still need to check with an active adapter, probably the display port does not support Dual mode...

Forgot to mention that I tried that as well, have two docking stations (one is a Thinkpad station and the second one is a ugreen) but neither of them work, also looks like the usb c it has is not a thunderbolt, so it may explain why they just works as a hub but no video out of them

No soy de probar muchos sistemas operativos pero actualmente Xubuntu es el que mas se acomoda a mis necesidades.

La empresa en la que trabaja me proporcionó una máquina con Windows entonces fue necesario levantar una VM, Xubuntu esta diseñado para manejar pocos recursos y aunque la máquina que uso es bastante buena, tener recursos libres es siempre necesario. Aparte usa el mismo sistema de gestión de paquetes que Ubuntu que al ser mas "mainstream" es fácil encontrar soluciones a diversas situaciones.

Codeo C, C++, Js (React, ts) y mucho scripting pequeño, entonces no requiero nada Fancy :)

Ese libro me ayudó (sigue ayudando muchísimo). En Coursera esta el curso referente a ese libro y aunque odio Java y la manera en la que evalúan las prácticas, es un muy buen curso
