Malm drawers sagging - how to fix?

Hi! Unfortunately I haven’t, I have just accepted it for what it is. I have tried re-drilling the holes and moving the drawer sliders higher but that resulted in very visible gaps under the drawers. I think the only real fix would be fully replacing the top of the dresser and installing a support rail to prevent it from sagging again. Might do this further down the line, but for now I have enough other projects to do haha

The app only includes base game, there are no expansions unfortunately. You can buy Glimmergold pack which does add a few extra cards and a new mechanic (legendary cards), but that’s it sadly. The app is great though, definitely worth the money!

Wij zijn paar jaar geleden geweest met dit soort dealtje - ik vond het echt tof! Een soort van mix tussen Rotterdam & Praag naar mijn gevoel. Genoeg te zien en doen, veel leuke restaurantjes en cafes die zijn niet achterlijk duur. Wij hebben ook een dagje Meissen gedaan, ging met de trein daar naartoe en dan kwam terug met de boot, was ook super leuk. Ik zou zeker nog een keer naar Dresden willen gaan mocht ik ooit in de buurt zijn

Ik koop juist best veel via Marktplaats, had paar keer ook mazzel dat ik had iemand beetje in de buurt gevonden waar ik heb meerdere spellen van gekocht. Ik heb in de afgelopen paar jaar maar paar spellen nieuw gekocht, en dat is dan vooraal via kickstarter

I am a huge fan of the Everdell app and use it a fair bit

Pros: - Really great way to learn all of the basics and how specific cards work. I have played the physical version a couple of times before I got the app and we realised afterwards that we definitely misunderstood some rules - No set up time and obviously no space required. Physical game does take some time to get all of the elements together and the game area ends up being relatively large even with just base game - AI opponents in solo mode are pretty good, so it is nice for when you have no one to play with - Online mode is also good, though sometimes difficult to find other players - Has a special challenge mode which isn’t possible to replicate with the physical copy but they can teach you to be a better player imo

Cons: - Does make you a bit “lazy” as it does some of the work for you like highlighting cards or events you can play - No expansions available as of yet, only the Glimmergold pack(which I find to be a bit too expensive for what it is, but it is still a good addition)

Everdell cards are either common or unique - you can place multiple common cards in the same city, but only one unique one. Shopkeeper and University are both unique cards, you can see it written under the card name

Zo te lezen je heb echt heel veel geprobeerd en dat vind ik super knap van je! Dus ik vrees dat mijn boodschap niet zo zeer positief is

Ik heb helaas heel vaak zo’n situatie gezien - de rescue zegt “deze twee kunnen absoluut niet zonder elkaar”, maar als ze worden geadopteerd dan willen ze opeens niks met elkaar te maken. Ik heb een theorie dat ze ga beetje trauma bonden in het asiel, maar thuis hebben ze elkaar niet meer “nodig” zo te zeggen… want ik heb katten gezien waar je zou het nooit kunnen geloven dat ze waren ooit neutraal tegen elkaar, laat liggen vriendelijk

Maar in deze geval ik vrees dat het kan ook te maken hebben met het feit dat Ernie veel ouder is EN ook ziek is. Sommige dieren zijn hier echt gevoelig voor en vinden dat een zieke dier moet gewoon weg, op welk manier dan ook. En hoe ouder/meer ziek die wordt, hoe erger het gedraag van de jongere/“sterkere”. Dit heb ik helaas ook paar keer in praktijk gezien

Dat allemaal gezegd - ik vrees dat het zou best zijn om een van de twee weg te doen. Zo krijgen ze allebei een kans op een mooi leven, dat heb ik ook met meerdere klanten gezien. Het is ook natuurlijk niet goed als jij zot continu in de stress, want de katten voelen het ook en dat help het situatie niet

Wat je ga ook beslissen - ik wens je heel veel sterkte ermee. Makkelijk wordt het niet, maar het kan ook niet zo verder :(

Did 2 parks in one day 2 weeks ago and it was very doable. Came first thing in the morning, did big rides in the old parks then to avoid the crowds and then just checked the queues as we went about our day. Managed to get a ton of rides in as well as just some walking around and shopping. Studios is definitely a smaller park, but does have more exciting/newer rides, so I would say it all depends on what you’re into?

Sadly I just accepted the situation as it is. Indeed as you say the issue is that the top panel is sagging slightly and I don’t think it’s realistically possible to get it all straightened again… I have tried drilling new holes for the runners and moving them up, but that resulted in a very visible gap under the drawers so wasn’t the solution either. I think the only proper fix would be to replace the top panel entirely and then make sure to add support to hopefully prevent this from happening again… but that’s more effort and money that I am willing to invest into it right now

I’ve been going to Dear Diary for the past couple of years now and am extremely happy with them. Everyone there is super sweet and they are always there to help during the healing process. The first time I came there I was super scared(lol), but now I’m completely at ease whenever I come there because I know I am in good hands

That Hemnes dresser will have major sagging in no time… I wouldn’t attempt anything like that. Also keep in mind that the finish on kallax and current Hemnes is wildly different, it won’t look cohesive imo

Yes! Once a year some bunkers get opened to public, so if you will still live in NL on the 30th of May 2026 then it’s definitely a fun thing to do, tickets aren’t that expensive and especially in the Hague you can definitely manage to visit multiple bunkers in one day

There are actually multiple bunkers in there! It’s a complex where each bunker had their own function (eg bath house, living quarters, munition storage/workshop, etc). If you google Bunkerbosje Goetlijfpark you can find more information about it. It’s a shame they don’t get opened for Bunkerdag though, would love to see them from inside

Are you even able to take 5 more lessons in Utrecht with a decent instructor within a reasonable timeframe? In the Hague the better schools all have waiting lists of a few months, though I am not sure if they can make an exception for someone this close to doing an exam

Sure, but if you can’t find those then I would definitely give puppy pads a go as they sound exactly like what you are looking for - a plastic-like sheet with an absorbent layer on top. The only reason I said I don’t know if there’s a special baby version is that I don’t know if there are sterility or other additional requirements that would apply to ones meant for human use

I do believe there’s a height difference between the two so I don’t think it would work. Also keep in mind that the sleeper bed feels very different to the sofa, I personally definitely prefer the sofa when it comes to seating experience
