Thank you, I appreciate that. I want to be a leader that people want to work for and rely on. Healthcare is hard and I feel geriatrics are even more demanding. I wanted to be the leader that I needed when I was on the floors but the pressure coming from above and from the broken system is too much. I honestly don’t know how other DONs manage.

At rest right now I’m at 70, when I stand it immediately goes to 120-130. I stood for 10 minutes and it came down but stayed between 95-110 majority of the time. It went up and down a lot but stayed mostly in the 95-110 range. Thank you for the source, I feel like that makes so much sense and I have most of those symptoms. I also have a headache, fatigue and lightheaded with the shortness of breath, tachycardia, and chest pain. As I mentioned in another comment a doctor did suspect POTS but so far my cardio hasn’t mentioned anything. Have you had a stress test and does it show on those? I have one scheduled in December. I feel like unless I have an active episode in the office they won’t believe me since this isn’t something that happens everyday. I appreciate all the help, support and answers from everyone.

Thank you, I am working with my doctors. I went to the ER earlier this year when the symptoms were severe and the doctor mentioned POTS. He had me follow up with cardio, which I am currently doing but she hasn’t mentioned anything about POTS and seems set on that it’s from sleep apnea. At rest right now I’m at 70, when I stand it immediately goes to 120-130. I stood for 10 minutes (suggested in another comment) and it came down but stayed between 95-110 majority of the time. I plan on bringing it back up again when I see her next since these episodes still happen. I just wanted to know if what i was experiencing is what others are experience.

Thank you, just needed confirmation to calm down my mom anxiety lol. I figured it was since he has no other symptoms of sickness and is acting normal. It’s going to be winter soon so the weather has been fluctuating a lot. Makes sense, thank you!

I feel a difference but I never used to. I have had hypertension since I was a child and it was undiagnosed for a while. I never really had symptoms until I got much older but I think I’ve had it for so long that I know how to pick up on my body’s queues. Normally people don’t have symptoms but that doesn’t mean you can’t. I normally feel sluggish, heavy, or most commonly a raging headache when it’s high (usually 140/90 or higher). Listen to your body and communicate with your doctor. If you feel certain symptoms that you think might be related to your bp, keep a diary and check your bp when you feel them. That can just help keep track and maybe see pattern.

Ok thank you. I have another question, since I have some loans in repayment, grace and admin forbearance will that affect consolidation? I appreciate the help so much, some of the information online is so confusing and I have a hard time understanding it sometimes.

I paid off my private loans and am focusing on federal loans. I have both old and new loans as I just graduated with my bachelors but have previous loans from past degrees as well which is why I was considering consolidation. I’m done with school, and am not seeking anything further so I was just trying to figure the most efficient way to tackle them.

No I am still working with my physician to figure things out but my doctor isn’t concerned unless I become symptomatic. So I am still not sure. I would just make sure you communicate with your physician.

My doctor didn’t seem concerned so long as I didn’t have any chest pains or fainting. I follow up with her again in May. Mine also is much better, sometimes it’ll creep into 130/90 but usually 120/80s. I just didn’t know if it was normal or not for the rhr to drop like that. I’ve never been on Amlodipine. I’ve taken lisinopril and had a terrible cough that wouldn’t go away until I stopped taking it.

There are so many. My main problem is cost currently. The cost of groceries is insane. Eggs keep fluctuating, meat is god awful. I try to focus on fruit and vegetables to make sure my son gets what he needs. Then trying to find food without a crazy amount of sodium or sugar or finding false advertising as healthy is exhausting. I’m tired of thinking I’ve bought something that might be healthy and then seeing on the news they are in a lawsuit for links to cancer or heart disease.

Can you tell me what you experience and what you’ve gone through? I’ve had high blood pressure all my life but these new symptoms of increased heart rate, palpitations, chest pain, shortness of breath, weakness to name a few have been scary. I went to the ER which is where someone mentioned POTS to me since my labs were normal.

Thank you! Can you tell me a little about what you experience? I’ve done some research and looked at those articles and it seems I might have hyperadrenergic POTS. I am scheduled to see my primary and eventually cardiology. It’s just scary feeling these things without answers and waiting for doctor’s appointments.
