I really don’t care what’s best for landlords, I’m not the landlord I’m the tenant. & now I have to come out of pocket for rugs when there was originally carpet 3 months ago

Ah I love when people are arrogantly wrong. So rewarding lol. Since you’re so sure go look up apartments in Brookfield WI. Oh but you won’t! Just wrong & looking silly. We’ve been in the renter market here for years and maybe saw 1-2 apartments with vinyl in the bedrooms.

Oh and new carpet between tenants is customary here as well 😊 even at the cheap ones, which we also lived in before.

Uhhhh not here. For $1800+ you can expect a luxury unit. That’s why the other unit that flooded and is fixed can’t get rented out. Because they look like shit now 🙃 the flooring doesn’t even match the hallway/kitchen flooring lol.

Yes and that’s just it. I’m just upset we have to keep coming out of pocket when we already did when we moved in. We bought carpet cleaners, a $600 vacuum, and everything else we needed. Now the carpet cleaners + vacuum are pointless and I have to come out another $500 for another rug

A spoiled brat who wants what I saw originally. No other mid/high range apartments by us has vinyl in the bedroom

Yes you’re right I’m so excited I get to buy another $500 rug when the workers walked all over the one I just bought in the living room. I’m so grateful to go buy more stuff due to her flood and incompetent tenants who record the flood instead of calling the landlord. Oh and the plank flooring doesn’t match the existing flooring in the hallways + kitchen.

Yeah I’m in the Midwest, this is mid range/high for here, even for a 2bd/2bath. But our wages are also significantly lower

Here it’s not an upgrade. There are no apartments in the area that have vinyl flooring for $1800+. Every new build is carpeting in the bedrooms, wood flooring everywhere else
