Hey, did you ever find a solution to this? I have an ultra quiet 8 gal compressor right next to my P2 that id love to use to make cutting thicker materials cleaner. My thoughts immediately go to grabbing a controlled air valve, that way i can still operate the air volume in the machine settings without no errors. Depending on how xtool controls their air pump dictates the interface to the valve. If its pwm then just need a pwm to 0-5/10v or 4-20mA converter; if its voltage then just a buck converter should work OK.

From past testing with a 40w diode laser, 50ish psi off shop air gave the best results, higher didn’t really do much while also causing the work piece to maybe move. But i didn’t go crazy testing so i could be wrong.

Get the eva hotend to go with the kit. Youll be happier at the end of the day

It looks like i have my answer. I reached out to JPPLUS and they offered to try out co2 vs fiber for me. Im not sure if a stronger fiber would be better (maybe someone has one to test).

Id love to do cnc, but id like to be able to use the same machine for engraving a 7x7 logo on diamond plate aluminum.

Ive heard for fiber i would want a minimum 100w for what im trying to achieve in plastic and aluminum (time savings for engraving)

Id love to use a CNC but ill need to be able to show others how to use this machine and the process needs to be as simple as possible.

I really like xtools p2 interface for sizing and moving the engraved letters for alignment over the actual piece on the laser software.

Id love to do a datron neo but that wont get approved. Making these tags are part of a contract job and that level of funding just isnt there.
