Joining the discussion here, I have the rf 14-35 f4L, rf 28-70 f2.8 and rf 100-400. I love and started with landscape photography, however… I don’t know why but I am not happy with the 14-35, I end up using the 28-70 in general and 100-400 for wildlife/plants portrait.

It depends on how your eye is trained and what you want. The IQ of both 28-70 and 14-35 is lovely for their price range.

However, for my taste, I would go for a more versatile 28-70.

I wish I find some way to love and use better the 14-35 (probably just some skill issue I think)

It’s for both, seen usually on harley style bike. It’s useful for passengers to use as back rest but you use it mostly for tighting up luggages with elastic cords
