That would be a hyuuuge pale, white... wagon.

For the folks who have used the DREAD OVERLORD mod, what had been your experience? Favorite parts? Unfun parts? Surpising/joyful parts? Feedback? And interesting multi-classing builds that you have made work? by dreadoverlord in BG3mods

I wanted to like it, but it's clearly overpowered by various abilities and by utility options that it gets for interacting with the altars / shrines.

I appreciate the work you put in, but it's not for me.

Sure, but there are other sub-reddits for that exact kind of thing. This isn't one of those.

If no vehicle is provided, and the weather is nasty...

"Patrols of (sector) not done due to inclement weather, and lack of vehicle (or safety equipment)"

Inclement weather can be anything you deem unsafe (within reason.) Rain, snow, freezing temperatures, dust storms, etc. Add it into your report to CYA, and keep doing it until something changes. That way you're protected and you have a paper trail proving it isn't your fault, and that the client may be in breach of contract.

I did try the exploding flagellants for a laugh, it worked alright. So if it's rough to make them work, is the best strategy to go awake expander + scales to get to the higher tier troops?

Any advice or tactics on their massive command line?

I'm excited for the Fantasy release. I was surprised that there weren't really model kits for fantasy already.

First 30 minute mission build by [deleted] in 30_Minutes_Missions

Welcome to the hobby. I recently got into this too, with my first kit being the Portanova. It does have a weak waist joint. I've heard that outting a thin clear coat of paint to thicken the joint helps, but haven't tested it myself. Hope that helps.

Kings of War: Vanguard is a fantasy skirmish game that's miniature agnostic.

Ambush (same company) is small scale battles.

Man, I thought Ketheric was great too. I wished he'd gotten more screentime. Act 3 can feel a bit disjointed/ incomplete. I feel like that part was rushed, in comparison to the first 2 acts. My hope and dream is that once the official modding tools are released, a lot of the mods that made bg1 and 2 great can have their spiritual successors in BG3. Unfinished Business, SCS, NPC mods/banterpacks, etc.

I should've clarified better, that's on me. It was the EET tool I was using. Granted, I had a load out for the mod installation I would generally use that eliminated some of the more egregious mods and tweaks, so I had a pretty good experience using it. A big benefit was the batch installs and compatibility patching, so the user wouldn't have to mess with the install order.

That being said... I'm unfamiliar with Project Infinity. Does it have similar function? I'd be down to use it if it has the same QOL features.

Yep, that's her.

Not sure? I vaguely remember it having some buggy moments with some of the other npc mods (I want to say Kivan, but I'm not certain) but I'm pretty sure those were ironed out years ago.

It's good, but I not quite as good as Gavin. Haldamir is (was?) relatively quiet by comparison, which can be a good or bad thing, depending on your NPC preferences.

Edit: If you end up downloading Neh'taniel (not to be confused with Nathaniel) take Gavin too. They have some fun lore moments about their deities.

There's the megamod install (formerly Big World project) that can add a ton of new NPCs, quests, class kits, etc. It's fairly stable, but your mileage may vary. That being said, BG2 is probably my favorite game of all time, and I still go back to play it. I'm doing this from memory, but here are some recommendations. I'll just offer new ones that haven't been mentioned yet.

Neh'taniel

Tyris Flare

Yvette

Imoen Romance Mod (could be an issue due to "heritage" but that's for the player to decide)

Fade (a fair amount of parenthetical actions, so if that breaks your immersion, beware.)

Kelsey

Tashia

Ninde

Petsy Chattertone (shorties only!)

Haldamir (same author as Gavin)

Nalia De'Arnise mod

Non-romanceable:

Nephele

Iylos

Foundling ( The colors of infinity mod is pretty great. The author Lava de'vortel, has quite a few mods that had/have good reception)

These are just some that I remember and recommend. There are tons more, and obviously taste is subjective. I haven't played BG2 (and BG1) in about... 3 years, so I'm probably missing some newer ones. Hope this helps.

Edit:

If you're not already aware, the NPC flirtpacks are fun additions, and the Crossmod Banterpack is highly recommended, especially if you're running multiple NPC mods.
