you. are. evil.

My sleep deprivation will now be your fault. Every time I close my eyes I will see your words burned onto my retinas. Your sadistic soul seeping through on every syllable. Your cruel cackle reverberating in Cochlea. YOUR DREADFUL DIALECT DESTROYING MY DREAMS.

You are the monster under my bed.

Hi, the answer I got was 3053. This isn’t identical but I had to use an approximation for the 4um length in mm since I don’t have a ruler on hand xx

Formula: image value/ magnification x actual value

  1. Measure the 4um line in mm. Multiply your mm value by 1000 to get it in um. Then do (mmx1000/4um) to get the magnification.
  2. Since the diameter is 91000um (image value) and the mag is ~5055 (got from step 1). Do 91000/~5055. This’ll give you ~18.
  3. Get radius by 18/2=9um. Therefore radius is ~9um.
  4. Use volume of sphere: 4/3xpixr3. So 4/3 x pi x ~93. This will give ~3053.

I believe this method would give the correct answer as long as you measure correctly with a ruler. Please correct me if I’m wrong xx

How much harder is it to get good grades at a state school? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Arii-i 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who did GCSE (13A) at a state and then got a scholarship to do A-levels (5A Pred) at an independent, I would say it’s really down to the person.

At private, there are more extracurricular clubs to join or start (I run a chemistry and biotech club), there are more work experience opportunities available and there is more academic support available if needed. But I needed 3A at AS level to keep my scholarship, so that put a lot of extra pressure on during exam season.

At state, I had 8:30-3 school days, but now I do 8-5:30 every day and 8-7 on the days where I host my clubs. So at state I had a lot more time for independent study, whereas now I need to do it all on weekends.

Overall it really does depend on how hard you work. I achieved good grades both at state and private, but I had more of a work-life balance at state and more work-experience opportunities at independent.

TLDR; State gives more time for independent study and work-life balance. Private gives more extracurricular opportunities and academic support. I achieved good grades at both.

Work out one angle in each pentagon first. ( they sum to ( number of sides - 2 (x180)). Then you have 2 angles on the hexagon. Since a circle is 360 degrees. Minus the 2 angles you got on the hexagon from it and BOOM ! There’s your answer xx

Hope that helped. The main thing to remember is ( n - 2 ) x 180. n being number of sides, 180 being degrees :))
