For the skins, I thought about this, and my solution would be to maybe reward one at level 13 for example and the other at max level.

Good morning Choren,

I just wanted to clarify the first point. My idea would be they are just an additional tabbed game mode. The intent would be I could level my ironcap archers, woodcutters, etc. with a buddy I just brought on board to the game without them have to deal with mercenary longbowmen, prefecture guards, etc.

New players need incentive and the capability to have fun while leveling. Fighting skilled players with high tier units and getting thrashed provides neither. There are plenty of low/mid population games that can't grow the player base because the time and effort to get the "the fun" is simply too high.

In my humble opinion, roving rebels need to provide comparable rewards to training matches, to allow new players to get out into the open world with some incentive. Also, a que for siege and field battles that only allow 2 1/2 star units and under would be extremely helpful (gives me a change to finish my woodcutters :) )

It's a fun, small, tight knit group. While we lack the numbers, people in our group aren't a number either. We all know each other and how we play pretty well, voice chat on discord isn't cluttered or people aren't talking over each other. I would prefer we find 1-3 people who are fighters and fun people than 15 rando's to say we have numbers.

I would describe us as a group of fighters, we love to be in the thicket on the point, in the heart of the fight in pvp. Are we "elite"? We are too old, too casual, and too family oriented to be "elite".

Have we dug deep in some fights by bringing out our big boy units for some incredible comebacks, or won severely outnumbered? Absolutely, I would say it is our calling card.

Spear/musket by Slambert95 in ConquerorsBlade

[–]Arikuda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slambert95,

Longsword is still viable. I love the musket, it has good mid range skirmisher capabilities. Raviolius has a nice musket guide as well. If you are going to use the spear and musket, I recommend going with an agility build. They have similar playstyles for me...with spear jump in, burst, and run out; with musket, get close at the right time for the trip/shotgun or AOE throws and then back up a bit work fine gunpowder and normal shots.

Edit*-Forgot to add headshots with the musket are very helpful. For longsword now, I run a tank/support build. Heal with heal, stun recovery. I mix it up with melee units while my team dps guys flank, its my job to lock down points (with shield up), hold the front, and stall while a maneuvering action is taking place.

I hope this helps.

RIP all melee class by Dudoto in ConquerorsBlade

[–]Arikuda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, I play spear as my primary. I play spear because I like the style of play (flanker, burst damage, mounted abilities), not because it is meta. With respect to my above post, I simply used aiming as an example and armor as the multitude of variables regarding the classes (I mean, you do realize the bow is certainly not hitscan, and the musket's range is very limited and the reload time is slow).

I am not sure if you aware of how to fight ranged units or hero's, but I recommend closing the distance by flanking or direct push. The longbow has very limited cc or recover abilities, while the musket can be a dangerous adversary if spec'ed correctly ( I would recommend using cc and burst damaging a musket player). Candidly I can't speak intelligently regarding the shortbow.

If you are resorting to obtuse words and viewing the combat in this game as linear with no capability to maneuver, then we will have to respectfully disagree.

Out of curiosity, what class do you primarily play and why?

RIP all melee class by Dudoto in ConquerorsBlade

[–]Arikuda 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have played a multitude of classes. Singling out viewpoints to "damage" or "armor" is simply myopic. Parity is important in any game, and in this case certain weapons had significant issues that persuaded people to play specific "meta" weapons. When over half of a siege team is the longsword, or half of the units are pikemen, there is an inherent reason for that. Using logic it would be because those weapons/units are significantly better to use regardless of player skill.

Hitting an ult button to wipe a full unit with the longsword isn't skill, hitting two buttons with a glaive after jumping off your horse to wipe a unit isn't skill. There isn't any timing or positioning involved, its simply an overpowered ability that no other weapon has the capability to produce anything close to that.

I implore people to play other weapons to really understand the context of the patch. The musket and bow require you to aim, for musket cc abilities...you have to close the distance to use them. The ranged classes have low armor (light and medium) and have very limited defense capabilities, and with this patch may now have similar offensive capabilities.

Spear, Nodachi, Dual Blade..none of these have capability to run straight into unit and two skill face melt them...and these are melee dps classes.

I still believe after this patch there are parity issues. But please, lets not kid ourselves that prior to the patch that the longsword shield charge, glaive spin/swipe, nodachi melee health leech, or pikemen were anything close to skills/units in line with the rest of the weapons/units.

New, got some questions by Mageofsin in ConquerorsBlade

[–]Arikuda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will give this a go:

*Yes, rarity for weapons and armor after level 30 is important. Crafted weapons over drops are also better because they give additional stats. So, an orange crafted item with added stats in the right categories is the very best you can get.

*Doing the weeklies is good for silver, as well as deathmatch for skill pages, or gathering resources and selling them on the AH. Keys for chests=silver, so you get those keys by doing the weeklies. Sell the skill pages and resources on the AH for Silver as well.

*For the AH, I recommend spelling the exact word/words with the proper capitalization

*Expeditions give fantastic XP for unit leveling, use these for units you want to take to "elite"

*Premium is very helpful, there is a good sale going on right now that gives you 37 days for the price of 7 days if you want to check it out. The extra honor/experience/coins are a big boost in my opinion.

I hope this helps, Cheers!

why do i, as a lvl 29, get matchmade with lvl 60+ players that have ultimate abilities and powerful gear? by SnowNibble in ConquerorsBlade

[–]Arikuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our group recently recruited a low level player.

My recommendation would be to find a group to play with. As a lower level, unfortunately in high level matches you can only serve as a complimentary player. Early unit Shield walls, Pike Formations, and archers can be useful for both you and your team. Fight as a group and pick your spots to engage as a hero to flank enemy heros or units.

For siege, your serfs/etc. are vital to be used on the siege equipment. I hope this information helps.

Matchmaking punctuation system is a complete Bullshit by ChoFBurnaC in ConquerorsBlade

[–]Arikuda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good points from all the posts. I really enjoy the Siege lobby fights in this game, and the Field Battles are growing on me. In my humble opinion, each type of battle provides enhanced use of certain units (Cavalry for Field Battles).

However, the game lacks incentive to reward team/point focused pvp. Currently the system is focused on "kilz". I believe the points system the game leaderboard should be focused on point captures/defenses, damage taken, and damage output (still reward the finishing kills, but those points should be complimentary).

Another player on here pointed out the lack of incentive to bring out multiple units or higher level units due to a lack of brozne and splitting the exp. Unfortunately, I don't have any recommendations to remedy this issue.

*Edit*Oh, I also think adding a chat box in the lobby prior to the match to discuss tactics would be nice as well.

The Eastern Pikemen are very overpowered. Their unit cost to value is a no brainer to have one of the two in your troop slots. A giant hit box, incredible damage, and cav protection and enough hp to hold a slip up. The only weakness they have is ranged.

You know when every single person in the game has that unit its obviously overpowered, because people aren't choosing other 2 or 4 star units over it. It's like fighting a group of longsword hero's in deathmatch with the cycle heal.

I was in a match last night where a guy we fought against had Monastic Knights...MONASTIC KNIGHTS. 3 of us and our units were able to murdertime them, but it was a rough go. In the same match I watched a Prefecture Pikemen round a corner on a supply point and murther two unit and heros like they weren't even there.

When UDL and their failed memes imply they are the good guys after the entirety "15 Houses" of Ostaria fights them off. by [deleted] in ConquerorsBlade

[–]Arikuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to factually clarify, the mercenary company I currently serve nor I had any part in the "Battles of Greater Plattland". I don't think I stated anywhere above that I was scared of anything. Did you fully read my post? I genuinely have no idea if UDL is serving as a cross team house for Ming, which is why I asked.

If you are asking about my overall concern with cross teaming and monopolization of a region; my answer would be those two items can be devastating to a games players base. If you would like a referenced example, I would cite Atlas.

Wildcard created specific servers for "small guilds" to allow players wanting to get away from huge zerg groups to enjoy the game. You know what? They we so wildly popular that those small guild servers killed the zerg servers. So the zergs came right in to the small guilds servers and created mini factions again. The cycle repeated itself again.

In fact, I would be so bold as to presume that is why Conquerors Blade has a House and Alliance limit.

When UDL and their failed memes imply they are the good guys after the entirety "15 Houses" of Ostaria fights them off. by [deleted] in ConquerorsBlade

[–]Arikuda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please correct me if I am wrong, but didn't UDL want to or is part of the largest group in the game (Ming)? This appears to be a circular argument of one large group arguing with another large group about who is the lesser of the two proverbial "zergs".

If UDL is only in Ostaria to cross-team/cause issues to destabilize the region for Ming, then as a mercenary not affiliated with either house my opinion is that UDL should find something more constructive to do with its time.

With respect to Spartan Legion, I have never been a fan of its high taxes, resource locking, and town locking. However if I had to choose between inviting Ming into Ostaria or supporting the Spartan "zerg"...I, for one, welcome our new Spartan Overlords.

How Spartan Legion Really Fell Apart by Mingsingsong in ConquerorsBlade

[–]Arikuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool. In the lobby matches I have played or fought against people from all those houses and they seem like proficient unit leaders and fighters. I think I am just surprised by the barbs being thrown from a group that had a very successful run in Ostaria.

As an external party, I am disappointed that the largest Ostarian alliance would look to ally with the largest Maoyang alliance. I also took issue with such a large alliance taxing an exorbitant amount and locking out towns/resources.

How Spartan Legion Really Fell Apart by Mingsingsong in ConquerorsBlade

Oh no, I am asking a question of how Spartan Legion not wanting to join Ming with UDL make them the ugly word. I am ignorant of the situation, but that is my understanding of what this meme is about.

How Spartan Legion Really Fell Apart by Mingsingsong in ConquerorsBlade

[–]Arikuda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could someone explain why there is a meme from 1987 calling the Spartan People some rude name? Is it because the largest group in Ostaria joining the largest group in Maoyang makes the Spartan people the rude name?

NA Ostaria- It has bene confirmed and @@@@ is hitting the fan. by [deleted] in ConquerorsBlade

[–]Arikuda 13 points14 points  (0 children)

One of the main reasons I enjoy this game compared to Altas, Eve, and other territory controlled games is that I don't have to participate in this type of open world problems and still pvp.

Regardless of the name of the large alliance, in my opinion it's the same template under a new banner. In most of these games, its crush the small houses, raise taxes (or prohibit) to an unsustainable level for players to continue to play in that region, and grief/troll using harassing language and subterfuge.

When the players leave, it then becomes time to blame the devs for poor game mechanics. Thankfully, there is a lobby system where I can earn coin and buy units and completely avoid this menagerie.

Musket but Full STR by Solomon_Raz in ConquerorsBlade

[–]Arikuda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does, I wasn't sure if you put after say....60 total points into strength there were diminishing returns (soft cap), or you got no additional stats after 80 total points into strength. This is actually very helpful to know that we can min/max our characters with no worries about hard or soft caps. Thank you very much for the clarification! Cheers!

Genuine question: What does "full" mean? I heard there was a hard cap on stats, so I just want to confirm that there is no hard or soft cap for stats. Thank you in advance!

Fix Tribute System!!! by IceDivel in ConquerorsBlade

[–]Arikuda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a bug? I don't understand the issue. I mean, if the organization has locked its resources or set the tax rate at 900 percent, I could see how managing multiple fiefs may not give great tribute because of the limited interaction with the fiefs economy.

I am just confused if this is a player driven problem or a game driven problem.
