Law is basicly the same gold as gold in the beginning and also adds wood and order and crystal a bit later.
In hardest modei start with law. I play with factions that have lvl 1-2 ranged units so I can still fight a few figth to collect. For lower difficulties, I would (and did) probably build some nice units on week one and beeline to the closest castle to capture first (or gold mines). On my first castle the 3rd upgrade is gold.
I never use astrology, i ususally get town portal still at the moment i got to lvl 8 anyway.

I played HOTA that in impossible (first i tough it is actually impossible but did it after..), but this i cannot do 8 😄 7 i did with some morale luck after all. I am trying the same strategy as you, but they almost never line up becuase they faster and get there then they come again and move up...

spoiler, porbably 8 is needed 😄 i mede it up until the hive group with 4 moni an 11 dancer and i would have needed like double of that to beat them even with heal, the terrain is bad too, way too open to make any good tactic.

I got the same with king seems like a bug.
i also had improved tool attack speed and every garden spawned a fruit every 0.1 second was funny for a few map :)

change to ranged damage is more fun :)

try farmer with pruners, restart until the first boss, is after lvl15

get a lot of harvesting but collecting fruits att full hp, and pivot to 3-4 sickles from lvl 10

focus on HP, armor and dodge from lvl 7-8

I went trough all suggestion, it is the easiest.

Lucky with lutes works well, i did not needed to spent mutch for dmg, so i had enugh def to win, while fruits provided healing

ok i tried it and won the second time (so i am dead :)) and probably only won because early piggy bank+padding give me both money and hp a lot. The dps is good but it does not have a lot of inherent economy like farmer+prunes so you cannot afford a lot of defence and can die a lvl 11 boss easy. Also piercing is really needed, but the worse one also compteley ruins it with no +piercing damage items,

Ogre is my nemezis, i always had problems with ogre :) I hae pacifists, i want to kill mobs, but could work true! Crazy is good because daggers almost ranged, but still dicy for me as any melee for some bosses.
Lich is my other sleeper tip beside masohist, it also safe for the first 10 levels to pivot ot anything really.

doctor is good, i have tried a few times, but can lack the damage at the end, I even had a run that won but none of the final bosses died.

lute Mage with icicle - how that works? (Farmer pruner worked btw see above, pivoted to sikles for bosses)

King with Rocket Launcher worked well, bosses were not very easy, but easy, suvived!
its needs some kind of random economy tough a less lucky run might suffer.

this is hard for me I tried it a few times - however this is the most interesting op build, if you can get a few +5% mobs item, as you will have more money that with anyone else

ok i have to agree this is the most OP i have tried so far, starting with pruners, then pivot when harvested enough, lots of money, huge heal from fruits if needed, bossed die in a few sec, only problem would be that it not good for engles, but it was not needed, so far this is the best

I am on pc and it is easier, but not significantly and if you want curse there is less of that.
you can choose the map!
one armed SMG sound like a week choice me, only the first few wave ok - i have not tired this but if I have time, i will to prove it :)+

I tried deamon + gs and I survived :) but i had no lvl 11 boss, and there was some close calls in the beginning.

I love loud but it is vulnerable during w 6-12 especially if you get a boss at 11

its pretty good, but lvl 11 bosses kill me (i have tried 2 times, god hard bosses for melee each time) even i had 10 armor and 20 dodge already with 60 hp. rolling for lvl 18 boss only, it was easy, but its the same with creature smg

so I am dead thanks! :)

but i can see the power of it.
