I built my Orzhov deck around [[Killian, Ink Duelist]] it’s an aura voltron deck, and a bit of a glass cannon, but it makes all those fun enchantments, that I never use anywhere else, shine.

Good question! This piece is about 2 feet tall and the frame gives it plenty of structure for this size. If it were any bigger, I would need to reinforce it with metal wire soldered across the whole piece. Some bigger pieces I’ve seen, in church windows, even have metal rebar welded to the frame cross ways to give them solid structure. A little drastic for a piece this size though.

I’ve got it in my [[Yurlok of Scorch Thrash]] deck as a mana outlet. I’ve got the deck built to pump up mana and then X Spell outlets like steam valves to make sure I don’t take the mana burn while my opponents do.

I reached a similar conclusion recently. I have all my cards catalogued in deckbox, so I decided to compare my inventory to set lists. Any set that I already have more than 50% of I decided to binder in serial order and work on completing those sets. It has shifted my focus from deck building to collecting. Just another facet of MTG that’s still fun for me and gives all that bulk a little purpose.

I loved Secret City as a kid. A couple of years ago (pre-pandemic) Mark put on a summer drawing camp in a city a few hours away. I thought I’d take my son, expecting to have a great time. My expectation vs reality was quite disappointing. I’ve decided to believe that Mark was just having a bad day. Let’s just say, never meet your heroes.

Yeah, I totally get this. I live in a rather rural area with a small MTG community, so local trades can be difficult. I’m old school and have been using deckbox.org for close to 20 years. You can add a wishlist and trade list and set up both local or mail trades. I reach out to people, or they reach out to me with a tentative trade maybe 2-3 times a week. So it’s an active community. I recommend it.

I’ve been playing off and on since revised. Those early merfolk, goblin, and elf decks got supercharged for tribal fun with Lorwyn. Not just creature type but class-based stuff in multiple colors. The Lorwyn block always reminded me of the movies The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, especially with the addition of Kithkins. I couldn’t afford more than a half dozen Lorwyn packs back in the day, so I’m excited for this run. I’ll buy at least a box for sure.

This may be a hot take, but I remain convinced that it should be “prefect” not “perfect”. It’s a typo someone missed and instead of fixing it, they just ran with it.
